Differences perfected and non perfected SS trial gear?

I was reading a thread where a guy said there is no point in running non perfected versions of sets from sunspire. For instance Lokkestiiz , but im talking about about all sets. I was surprised to hear that and did some checking. The difference is 833 critical rating, how on earh is that a big difference? Sounds like maybe a 3% dmg increase to me - am i wrong? Are the differences THAT big on magica related gear?

Yes the difference is small. Tho talking just about Lokke set that person would be right. Given how relatively easy is to get perfected there is no reason to run non perfected and if you cannot obtain perfected there is quite high chance that set will be doing nothing. There is some correlation between amount of synergies given and skill of the players in group

Its easy to clear SS on veteran? Not for me it isnt, i can only rely on pugs. I just cant see that logic, how is there "No point" in running non perfect lokkestiiz is the differenc is so small that it barely gives you 3% dmg increase - if even that?

Difference might be small but, no way I'm trait changing and making it legendary when it's non perfected, I refuse XD

In those PUGs how often do you get synergies? Can you activate at least one on cooldown? If not Lokkeestiiz loses it's worth, since it's relying on synergies.

Any group that cannot clear veteran SS wont have healers giving you Orb every 20s. Obviously from time to time one of these healers will join some random pug to farm gear, but you cannot expect that

If you only rely on pugs then that set, even in imperfected, wouldn’t be beneficial for you. Most pugs aren’t coordinated enough to provide enough synergies to give you a high uptime for the major slayer proc.

Interestingly you could say the opposite about False Gods, lack of orbs from a healer makes the set more useful. The only difference for its Perfected version is 1096 Max Magicka, which is about 1.5% DPS.

Still, I agree with the comments above that Perfected is relatively easy to get, compared with previous Perfected drops from trials. This one requires no hard modes, and standard vSS feels easier than vCR+0, vMoL or vHoF. Almost halfway between a normal and vet trial, with the difficult mechanics being reserved for the 3 hard modes.
