The first character I created was a nightblade, and new to the game (not understanding how to do anything) I never vibed right with that class initially. I tried out Templar second and it swiftly became my main that I'm just loyal to because I've enjoyed it so much. Plus it's also my crafter and achievement seeker character lol.
I'll make and play all classes for fun, but I'll always have my one main magplar.
Nightblade because I have always enjoyed playing the rogue in any RPG I played I love the style of fighting stealth and I played cutthroat assassin in oblivion and skyrim 🙂
I have phases where I suddenly play one of my alts to the exclusion of others, so I don't have a "main" as such. If pushed I suppose I have a leaning towards Sorcerers, but only slightly. I am playing Necromancer at the moment, and I'm enjoying shredding my way through zones, but the time will come when I want a change and one of my older alts will get a turn.
I've tried all classes, my first was a templar healer, I've played Warden healer, tank and dps, I played nightblade dps. I tried Dragon knigh. But somehow sorcerer was always more fun for me, it's nice being a real dps that pulls 30k with easy rotation and insane survivability in PUGs(yes I lower my damage for survivability).
Before, I could be on my healer or tank and suffer through veteran content because most dps are, how should I put this, not very interested in pulling high numbers and prefer staying on one bar light attacking?
I carry with my sorcerer, I run through veteran maelstrom and worldbosses, questing is actually fun, and I feel appreciated in dungeons when people go "whoa the deeeps".
He accidentally read a crown store motif and now he can’t be abandoned. most hours, most content, most endgame experience, most achievements out of all my characters.

When I started I wanted to be the "Knight of Light" that I typically think of when I hear Templar... But quickly discovered that doesn't work so well in this game (not for me, not solo). I went do magplar and never looked back. She has the most atrocious RNG, but she is my solo content clearer of choice for survivability and fun. She's also my grand master crafter (I'm Soo not doing that again).
My main is my DK tank, my top dps is a stamDK, and my only healer is a DK healer. Have a magDK dps as well. I have plenty of characters from other classes too, but DK is the one I'm just far and away most comfortable with. After DK, probably Warden for me.
I main Templars and Sorcerers. I remember when I first started playing the game, I saw a guy throwing shards and spamming jabs in the middle of town. He was glitching jabs because when he finished the move, he was holding the spear in the resto staff position when he was done. I whispered him and was like " Woaaah! What moves are those?!" he told me he was using a Templar. I deleted the character I was using and made a Templar. I immediately fell in love with the class. I like using Sorcerer because...reasons.
Druid is my favourite RPG archetype. It just sucks that ZOS hates the class.
I'm with you on this, I am a long term Druid in EQ and EQ2 (and a Druid in real life) I was hoping to make the warden into my druid here but it didn't feel anywhere close.
Stamsorc right now, magplar before that, dktank next for a bit. I shake it up every few months to a new "main"

I'm always a healer and I just love the flashiness of the Templar runes/sigils and the glowing effects of all their skills. I have a CP Alt for every class and working on a Necro but my Temp is the only one I play on the reg. I'm a flash Queen, what can I say...
My stam nightblade was the first character I made during the beta. I've just always liked playing a melee assassin type. He's the only one I do all the DLC zones on.
Much as I love Necromancer (and play mine like my sramina Templar) nothing beats Javelin'ing folks off towers (you know the ones) to their doom, or cliffs into dem slaughterfish when i Cyrodill. Plus... playstyle in pve fits about the same between necro and templar, so i have little issues bouncing back and forth.
Have absolutely no knowledge of MMORPG nor ESO before creating my first toon. Having played Skyrim, and oblivion, and morrowind, I know enough that stealth is the fastest shortcut toward easy win in elder scroll game.
So nightblade seem to fit the bill. Imagine my disappointment when I found out that stealth doesn't work like that in this game. But the nightblade was a khajiit and between the disappointment of stealth and the undeniable charm of khajiit, the kitty win and my main is still a khajiit nightblade.
Nightblade. But I always pick the stealthy stabby classes in any game with classes. So for me the question of class choice never existed.
I got all other classes on alts, but mostly because having alts is beneficial in ESO, so why not use them to try something else. But so far it only reinforced my preferences.
MagDK.. because I wanted to be different. When I first started this game, the first year or so after launch.. NO ONE PLAYED MAG DK in PVP... it was like that for a long time, then it got a few buffs and all the bandwagon people jumped on
