Leveling Alliance skill line

Hello,

I'm looking to finally end-up my Assault and Support skill line (currently lv4) and from what I've find on Google, people was saying the best method was :

- Kill a boss to get more AP buff
- Group-up with friend and farm only resource

1 - Is it still the fastest way ?
2 - All my friend are in other faction, what is the second best method ?
3 - How long it take (just to know if I can do it in few hours)

Sorry if this question was answered many time, just want to be sur nothing change in 2019.

Was a tad curious as to what a " shinny " day was tho

Just follow the zerg and take keeps it does not take long to hit lvl 10 on both only a few days "or even a day" if you play it right

Just queue BG. Even if you lose you get AP.

Battlegrounds are fastest unless you're very good at cyrodiil pvp. You can get level 6 like in couple of hours.

Unless you have some type of build i wouldn't suggest doing bgs. You'll just have a bad time and your teammates will too.

Absolutely agree with the others: Battlegrounds is the quickest way. And they can be very enjoyable too.
I recently worked on an alt, and after doing three different things, it was clear the Battlegrounds was the quickest and most enjoyable for me. The three things were; taking districts in the Imperial City, fighting with the zerg in Cyrodiil, and fighting in Battlegrounds.

Battlegrounds are a good way to level alliance skills. You not even need to do random ones. Find one you like, and just enter that one repeatedly (they are in pairs). If you think you are going to finish in the top two with a minute to go, use an xp scroll, which will level that skill faster.

I am hopeless at PvP, but I find the domination battleground to be easiest for me. It doesn't involve much fighting!

Another question then, if I kill a boss in Cyro delve, do I keep the buff when I go in BG ?

i've been doing low level BGs. i'm pretty terrible at pvp, but the great thing about under lvl 50 bg is that so is everyone else, so i can typically rack up a really high score which equals big AP

As far as I know, XP scrolls don't affect AP.

AP skills != Assault/Support skill line.

Yes, any Assault/Support skills level with XP, like any other skill. But the skill line requires AP to level.

Bgs is def consistent and pretty fast ap, esp if you're below 50, most players there are not even good

Or if your alliance is doing well and taking a bunch of keeps and resources, then cyrodiil is probably better since you'll get tier 1 with it

Alliance skills and ap currency are not the same thing. You get rewarded both for doing PvP stuff, but the xp scrolls only affect the alliance skills, not the ap currency.

I have tested this. Try it on the starters quests when you first go to cyrodil.

Does anyone who answered actually play in Cyrodiil?

All you have to do is enter Cyrodiil and buy a few hundred wall repair kits. Each repair done gets you like 74 AP. Walls degrade over time so they are in constant need of repair. You can easily get 1000 AP per castle just by fast traveling to the castles your alliance owns without ever fighting anyone.

Or, you can strap on a resto staff and spam mutagen into a Zerg for similar results.

Regardless, despite the fears that many have, you can go into Cyrodiil naked and just light attack behind your local zerg and have vigor unlocked in 2 to 4 hours. It’s the easiest “grind” in the game in comparison to the amount of complaining about it.

I am not a PvPer by any stretch. If I kill a player, it is because I got in a shot in a fight I did not start.

However, I can get tons of AP by joining a Resource Campaign, do a LFG will stick with Crown in Zone Chat and go around capturing resources. Its a lot more fun than the Dolmen Zerg in Alikir.

And, yes, do go into a Delve and kill a boss. However that is like 10% more AP, so if you forget, it's not a huge impact.
