Blue dragon imp disappears

I do not know if it is supposed to do that because it is an imp that comes for free handouts or other pets do that too but the blue dragon imp disappears after a while i change zone and it appears makes his transformation and after disappears again after a while, the thing is i am fighting or whatever and the imp most of the time is not there and it is a shame because that pet is super cool. If other pets do that too i have not noticed I am rather new to the game and maybe other pets do that too. I have to say that i have not seen it disappear because i alt tab a lot.

It appears to resummon every time you change zones, use a wayshrine or go through a door. As far as it disappearing, it's possible that it is simply flying up out of your view on the screen, as it does have a flight animation that takes it pretty far over your character's head. Others can see it above you though. My hubby has his out, so I've seen the animations his does. I can't really see the animations mine does though.

Thanks for answering, I thought it was what you said and checked if it was flying above but i did not saw anything definitely disappeared, i do that i change zones when it disappears; well i do not know maybe it is only me and it is my thing but when I alt tab back to the game the dragon is not there anymore today it has not happened yet but i do not have the dragon on all my chars.
