The Gut-Crushing new way to cheat / exploit a scroll half way across the map

So, I was playing tonight in the main campain of PC-NA and EP did the neatest thing. They made a nice push to our scroll, but we managed to recap our rear keep before they were able to pick up the scroll from the temple (server message played our recap and gate close ~1min before their scroll grab.) That was neat since you arn't supposed to be able pick up a scroll when the gate is closed. They wern't done yet though. Somehow they instantly teleported with the scroll from the temple all the way back to behind black boot. That is more than half the map. It's a nice trick and a new one for me. I have seen evidence of players who seem to be able to port themselves around on the map (IE same bomber showing up in front of one of our flag running zergs again and again back in our own territory with no possible legitimate way to cover the distance.) But this is the first time I have seen somebody pick up a flag when it was not eligible and teleport more than half the map with it. Guess I know how EP is up so many points don't I.

Keep recall stone?
Seems like you wouldn't be able to use a recall stone when you had a scroll, though.

They were halfway through grabbing the scroll, and when the scroll barrier one shot them, it gave it to them a little bit afterwards
So they went to BRK, the scroll came with them, it was invisible but apparently on them. They couldn't mount but they also couldn't place it in scroll altars
So the team suggested dying, and when they did, it dropped the scroll over their body. It was on stream so there's a clip of this all happening.

This is a known issue, actually. It's a bug. It happens also with relics and the chaosball in bgs.

Race conditions are ripe in ESO, and PvP in general...

Yup. This sounds identical to the chaosball bug. If you pick up the chaosball and are killed at the same time, you respawn at your base with the ball (which is invisible to you, but visible to others).

Dude this exploit is older than pepperidge farm can remember. I've been reporting this exploit to zos for at least 2 going on 3 years.

This game has bugs, I have initiated gap-closers on players and ended up half way across cyrodiil, calling people cheaters when sometimes things like this happen completely unintentionally is presumptuous.

I've seen stamDKs in battlegrounds throwing crystal frags and dropping meteors that do 25K damage through block, while admitting to using cheat engine afterwards. It's rare, but it's there.

Incorrect ps4 has one out due to ironicly it being more pc like. Xb1 has a melt down with things installed on it that is not from the Microsoft store.

Let's apply mehrune's razor...I mean occam's razor to your statement for a second. Is it easier to believe that a person carried out a multistep exploit by accident or did it intentionally knowing what the end result would be? Either you don't know how this exploit works or you're defending these clowns. Both of these conclusions lead to the fact that you probably shouldn't be posting on this topic.

Yup I was online when it happened. Guy mentioned it in zone. He got one shotted by the retake and gave him the scroll. He reported the bug and a zillion snitches reported HIM.

Yeah, I remember this from long ago. I'm pretty sure Playstation still has hardware mods that can be used to cheat.
