Clam gall and Powdered mother of pearls

How do you unlock the traits of these 2 alchemy reagents?

You make stuff with them, just like the other ingredients? That's how I did it.

Since Mother of Pearl is expensive, I'd try to use an item that matches 2 of the traits each time, so you only need to use 2 of them.

That's exactly what I would like to know. What other reagents do I need to mix them with in order to unlock all of their traits without consuming more than 2 of each?

Glam Gall:
Glam Gall + Mudcrab Chitin
Glam Gall + Spider Egg + Fleshfly Larva

Mother of Pearl:
Mother of Pearl + Beetle Scruttle
Mother of Pearl + Scrib Jelly

These ingredients are ridiculous to obtain. Ive ran laps around Summerset coasts a few days ago and found only giant clam, and it didn't even have any gall or powder.

They need to be a bit more easier to find. I only want the ingredients for potion and poison combos. The food recipes can burn, all about the Longfin Pastys :P

I've gotten mother of pearl from shell troves after clearing geysers.

Disagree. If everything is easy and effortless, then what's the point in playing? Also: the price of these has tanked thanks to the anniversary event, so even the PMoP is not that expensive -- less than half the price it was before the event.
