Betty Netch keeps you in combat longer than intended.

(I wanted to change Category to Bug Reports, but I can't for some reason)
Ok. So I reported this bug the first week after Morrowind had been released, through the in-game bug report system. It's soon to be two years and the bug is still there.
What's happening is that once the Betty Netch (or it's morphs) has been summoned it can keep you in combat long after the enemy (mob/player) has been killed (or reset). And I mean much much longer than in any other type of scenario.
I first noticed this while doing the main quest in Morrowind, in 2017, and I couldn't use normal doors untill I had been standing still in sneak for a while. I've since been playing with this bug in pvp for almost two years (can't port, can't mount, can't change skills/gear, can't change the siege/pots on the hot bar). You sometimes manage to port back to base only to find that you're in combat again and can't port away from there.

Is the in-game bug report system even working?
Is the intention to keep wardens in combat longer than other classes?
Why is this even a thing?

The right question would be: Why do we even play and support this bugged game?

I play and support the game because it is fun. <shrug>

We know they are looking at "stuck in combat" bugs, mainly because they have said so, but all games have bugs, and all bugs have a priority when compared to other bugs. All bugs are different, in terms of how easy they are to fix, and all take time to fix. I have no idea when they will get around to it.

After years, the stuck in combat bugs are nothing more than just an annoyance. Normally, they have no impact other than slowing me down on my next task. Annoying, but rarely more annoying than the snare that sometimes persists after the mob dies which keeps me from running off for a few seconds. I might grumble, but it lasts less time than any significant negative reaction on my part, so I have learned to just pause for a moment and let it pass.

As I said above, all games have bugs. Some block game play, completely or significantly, while others are just anniying. I try to save my umbrage for the really bad bugs, and work around the annoying ones.

If they come up with a fix for stuck in combat, wonderful. Until then, my philosophy is report and move on. I try not to let it get to me.

I'm not talking about the stuck in combat bug that's plaguing Cyrodiil and every player no matter class. This is a seperate bug caused by a class ability. The Betty Netch bug has been there since release, never been adressed in patch notes, and is Only affecting the Warden class. For Two Years!

I'm not talking about the Cyrodiil bug, either. Just to be clear.

I don’t think it’s the skill but rather the passive heal you get when you use the skill.

Then it would only apply when it's being unsummoned (if you mean the Bond with Nature passive). But iirc it doesn't happen with other animal companions skills, that also have the benefit of the same passive.

It could also be Maturation (from the Green Balance tree) "When you activate a heal on yourself or an ally you grant the target Minor Toughness, increasing their Max Health by 10% for 20 seconds." but would only apply when "When one of your animal companions is killed or unsummoned, you restore 1260 Health."

    From using a specific ability?
