Suspicions about S. Elsweyr (Major Spoilers!!!)

I have a sneaking suspicion that our Q4 update will include S. Elsweyr aka Pelletine.

1. Abnur Tharn mentions going to Pelletine and the threat at the end of the quest line.
2. Anequina (N. Elseweyr) is rather small compared to other chapters we have bought. This makes me think that devs. put considerable effort into making the Q4 zone more beefier.
3. Why call a chapter Elsweyr when only 1/2 of the country is being shown in the chapter.

What do you guys think?
Norion Germain - Telvanni Wizard, Covenant Battle Mage, Mage's Guild Magister, Resident of Daggerfall Overlook, Lord of Tel Galen, Psijic Monk, Antiquarian, Breton Scholar, and Traveler.

I do think that the Q4 DLC will be larger than Murkmire and CWC.
But not quite the size of a chapter zone

All I'm saying that I'm not cashing out another chapter or DLC price just to see one more god awful barren land with mediocre story quest (except khajits, they are amazing).

This is all just one part of a yearlong adventure called ‘The Season Of The Dragon’, which kicked off in March with the smaller dungeon pack, Wrathstone, and provides a clear picture of ZeniMax Online Studio’s plans for future content. With ESO’s first two Chapters, Morrowind and Summerset, ZOS released smaller DLC packs around them, but the content was unrelated to the Chapter. For example Summerset centred on the high elves and their homeland, but the Wolfhunter and Mirkmire DLC packs that followed were all about werewolves and Argonians.
Things needed to change. “We were stepping on ourselves all over the place,” explains ESO director Matt Firor.
“We had this big promotion to get old users back and new users into the game and we used a lot of Summerset content for that, because that was the biggest thing, but by then we’d already launched two more DLC [packs], and people came in and said, ‘Hold on a minute, I thought this was all about elves, why’s everything about lizard people?’ And that was like, ‘Okay, we’ve got to change that,’ and that led to telling one big story, use all Khajiit, Elsweyr, dragons, just tell that story and have one unified message.”

Whenever I see see the name Murkmire, I think "Lurkmire".

"So what part of Blackmarsh does Slashlurk hang out?"
    "Lurkmire".

I don’t want to pay more for the same part of the story for this expansion for real.

    *Looks back at Hew's Bane.*

Actually, Murkmire wasn't that bad. It just felt claustrophobic... I think because of the climate.

Also add in since its not a totally wild different place like summerset 2 murkmire it gives them a ton more room to finish it up. But yea story wise it only makes sence 2 go down there as the next step.

Yeah the story DLC has to be Pelletine. I was thinking there was a chance they would do something with Skyrim with the dragon storyline, but everything is pointing towards Pelletine. What are the chances that the zone will finish out the remaining part of Elsweyr? I'm hopeful given how small Northern Elsweyr is. Although it's going to feel like they split up the chapter into two parts, I won't mind if it's high quality.

We should find out more at E3.

Anequina is made up of deserts and steppes while Pelletine is supposed to be jungles and woodland, not unlike Valenwood.

I wonder if we will finally see Ohmes and Ohmes-Raht khajiits? As far as I can tell, they were the only Khajiiti furstock I do not remember encountering in Northern Elsweyr.

People keep saying this, but it's not true. The zone is as big, if not bigger, than Summerset and Vvardenfell.

On the global map, yes it's smaller.

Scaled, it's similar in size to both Summerset and Vvardenfell (especially in area that can be explored, since there's no massive mountains cutting off half the map, only ranges to make you go around)

Looking at an old, Old, OLD map making assumptions about future map zone possibilities (before chapters, back when everyone thought it would come in DLC sized bites forever)...
    User-Enodoc-ESO_Regions.png
...I notice that the current "Elsweyr" chapter map is kinda all of that older maps Anewuina and half of its Tenmar zone.
...which would make the -rest- of Tenmar -just- the prefect size for a "guild DLC" like TG and DB, while the southern lands of Quin'rawl could make a really neat large storyline DLC...

IF they made it all as "Pelletine", it would be expansion sized... which totally could be an option as well - make the 2019 DLC something else (possibly some imperial region, as we do have abner tharn and imperial incursions to deal with here...), and set up the jungles of southern elsweyr as 2020 Expansion to conclude things...

It appears that they are attempting to do something special with the Year of the Dragon storyline. There is always the chance that Pelletine might end up being an expansion-sized zone, considering that the devs should be able to reuse a good bit of the assets from Elsweyr, making work a lot easier. I also imagine that they would not want to stretch out Khajiit content beyond a full year, risking exhausting player interest in the zone and culture.

Might be pushing the proverbial envelop here, but I'm also really hoping for an Imperial zone next year. Elsweyr was really one of the first times in ESO where Imperials were cast in the light of protagonists. A full-sized imperial zone would be amazing!

They said they would continue to expand through Els for the year. So most likely.
