As I was shooting birds out of the sky in another game with my repeater it dawned on me that birds are one of the few things you can't kill in ESO.
It would be great fun shooting birds out of the sky with the bow.
Which one of the devs is the bird lover? lol

They could add the Big Meanie achievement title for killing the wittle birdies. :p

Considering bows in ESO fire unavoidable heat seaking projectiles and not actual arrows it wouldn't really be fair game and good hunting principles.

So true! The other day while looking at and facing an enemy that was a few yards in front of me, I fired a light attack with a staff. The little ball of fire curved behind me and hit a mouse.

GW2 has a slayer achieve called Indiscriminate Slayer for killing "ambient" (like level 1 everywhere) creatures. The text for it reads "If small things were meant to live, they'd have bigger teeth or faster feet". ESO needs such added to their slayer achieve and the birds need to be targetable.

We have achievements for killing farm animals though. Including chicken, cows, guar, and others I think.

Killing monkeys is a good stress reliever ... in-game of course. Try Monkey’s Rest in Auridon, I monkey farm there when I need white meat.

bird feathers could be used as an alchemy ingredient, also.... cliff racers were annoying in TES 3, their in ESO but we can't kill them.

Since they changed the 'equip weapon' to 'fire at will' - which was a LOUSY idea by the way IMHO - I have been killing all sorts of small critters that were in the wrong place at the wrong time.

They're there to absorb a shot that might have hit an enemy. They're a decoy.

This happened again yesterday. The fireball from a staff light attack made a sharp turn and hit a little critter that was behind me. I was standing still, not running ahead. The enemy that I wanted to hit was a "couple yards" in front of me.
