Add ons - missing lots of dependencies?

Do i have to install the dependencies one by one? Lately a lot of add ons stopped working because of this

Its the libs you need to install. Go to your addons menu and next to out of date addon is a little arrow you can click which will give you extra information about that addon. There it will tell you what lib you need to install. I installed all my libs from minion and my addons mostly all updated for Elsweyr except my treasure maps addon which author has not updated yet. I did it one by one but there may be a faster way.

I use minion to update and there are still alot of addons that are not working yet

I haven't used minion in the past but with so many addons using separate libraries I may start doing it.

No but most authors will list in their add on description in minion what you also need to grab.
Or just add anything that says lib in the name

Edit to add: I just checked the minion site forums and dependency checking is planned for the future. No ETA though.

Minion only installs files available on ESOUI so as long as you got the lib from there, then yes, Minion will keep it updated. If you download any lib or mod for that matter from any other location, then Minion will not update it for you.

Also, not all libs will have been updated so even with all libs downloaded you might need to select allow outdated add ons for it to function.

and remember that its your launcher that loads addons and libs in to your game so you'll have to restart both to see if anything you did worked.

they are not working because minion does not load all the necessary libraries. You have to check the ones missing (they say dependency) , go to esoui.com click on libraries, download the ones you are missing, extract the zip files into a folder, then drop the library folders into your addon folder ( take them out of the folder you extracted them into. Don't just drop the extra folder in)

I installed minion and let it detect all my addons. I had already installed the libraries.
Minion found everything just fine and even noted outdated libraries which I updated.

So we'll have to manually install libraries as these addons separate them as independent parts.
But once you've installed the library by hand minion will then track it.

Several addons that never had dependencies now have them.

Or they had dependencies for features, but didn't need the Libs for them, just didn't get the added feature. But with the latest patch, the game registers as a complete dependency instead of partial.

Its one or the other.

When I spoke with an author about the LIB dependencies, he had mentioned offhand that he believed the next version of Minion (ver 4) may be able to automatically detect and download needed dependencies, but I don't know if this was for sure, or just a guess on his part...

Do what I did and just install EVERY file that' start's with LIB, might be overkill but no more problems lol
