Vine-Tongue Traveller Teeth of Sithis help needed

So I've already got the firestones momento, but it doesn't work on the Teeth of Sithis vine-tongue? I just get stuck as I'm being pulled into an invisible wall so I can't get across the chasm.

b101uk✭✭✭I am doing Death among the Dead-Water side-quest, and I am at the Find Kishi stage, I have firestones, I throw them at Tamed Vine-Tongue's and nothing happens bar them stunning me, I don't get pulled anywhere.
I have tried without armour, with armour, below them, above them and at the same height as them, and tried all the Tamed Vine-Tongue's in the area, the result is the same, they merely stun me and don't drag me anywhere, and there is no way to get to Kishi as a result, I have even abandoned the side-quest twice and restarted it with the same results.
I guess Tamed Vine-Tongue's or Firestones or both are broken for some of us.
