I am a bit puzzled here. Collector's Edition Upgrade. To get or no?

From reading this it seems if we purchase Elsweyr by June 4, we get additional bonus items. I thought I needed to buy the Digital Collection Upgrade for $69.99 Canadian. BUT reading the last statement, it say "pre-purchase The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr" means to me I can just buy the digital upgrade for $54.99 and get the "additional bonus items, including a costume, pet, XP scrolls, treasure maps, a Baandari Pedlar Crown Crate, and Rahd-m'Athra mount!".

So why would I buy the Collector's Edition upgrade if it's included with the Elsweyr Digital upgrade?

I am puzzled here. I know it's 3:00am for me, so maybe I am missing something. Can someone explain to me what I am not saying?

Both come with pre-order bonuses. The collectors edition comes with an additional mount, some emotes, a pet and a couple other things that are not in the standard one regardless of when you purchase it. Or that is how it should be.

If you look at the chapter in the crown store, in game, it has a list of the items and at the bottom of the list if has a group that only comes with the more expensive purchase. That may make it more clear for you. This is if you are on PC.

I believe those are two different things are they not? One is the pre-order bonus and one the collectors edition.

There are two different benefit sets

An early purchase set - horsey, scrolls etc

A Collectors Edition set - big cat mount etc

You get early purchase set for buying before June 4. You get Collectors Edition if you buy the more expensive package

So if you only want the early purchase set, you only have to purchase the Elsweyr standard edition or standard upgrade

For me, a lummocking cat mount and a bunch of fluff wasn’t worth an extra $10

I am comparing the additional items. Thing is what I quoted says we get more items if ordered before June 4th. So if I am mistaking the extra items in the collector's edition upgrade, as the free stuff we get before June 4, then what are the extra items we get if we order before June 4? That is what is puzzling me.

If I get the Digital upgrade edition, what is the extra's we get by June 4?

If I get the Collector's Digital Upgrade edition, what is the extra's we get by June 4?

I see what we get from buying those editions, but what is the extra stuff we get? That is what I don't understand.

The mount in pre-purchase is the black horse with blue lines, it was mentioned desperately because unlike the other extras, it was given imminently after buying (and I think only when buying online but not sure), whereas the other extras are given at release (also to retail buyers).

So:
・if you pre-order digital deluxe, you get both sets.
・if you pre-order normal version, you'll get the first set but not the second.
・if you buy the normal version after release you get nothing but the chapter.
・if you buy digital deluxe after release you'll get the last set only.

I was gifted the collector's edition for mothers day and I love it. I wanted it ok wait......mostly for the lil mousy pet. Afcourse I love everything that i got. Mounts and the pet dragon is amazing...plus the tablet, the emotes, costume and i only just realised i got the dragonbone outfit style. I'll have to have a look tomorrow ..i need to pay more attention. Bonus !!😊😊😊

Now I see I made the mistake that the Rahd-m'Athra mount is a horse and not a giant cat. Thing is, if the Rahd-m'Athra is the free mount for ordering before June 4, why is it in the packages being offered?

I would think that what is shown in the package is what we are buying, so the Rahd-m'Athra is included in the two packages and we will also be getting ANOTHER mount because we pre-ordered.

I just don't see what the extra stuff that is being "free".

Both versions get the same pre-order bonuses.

The pre-order items for Elsweyr are really nice, so good in fact they make the items from collector's edition easy to pass over, since you get a mount, pet and costume.

For anyone torn between the 2 versions, just buy the standard upgrade since the collector's item must not be too much of a want to warrant dilemma. Get the collector's edition if you want to support the game a bit more and want extra goodies at the same time.

Why would Zenimax then say if we pre order before June 4 AFTER they showed those packages we get an additional stuff?
That is what I can't understand.

See the way I see it is, exactly how you said it. Zenmiax showed that. So why say we are also getting free stuff AFTER they showed that? Again I will quote what is said.

This is exactly what I thought it ment as you said it. This is what we are getting if we buy one of those editions.

i bought the CE just cause of the arnold schwarzenegger cat mount, its awesome !

other than that, theres little to no value, hell, i even mad, why you ask ?, i PO the CE and only get ONE crate, ffs ZoS, why you guys so cheap !

dragonbone style also looks quite bad tbh, but hey, its only $10 than the standart edition

Ah I FINALLY get it. Those are the pre order bonus. The way I read it was that was part of the package and not the pre-order bonus.

I thought it ment that was included in the package. Since it says DIGITAL EXCLUSIVES, I thought since we are buying it digitaly from the ESO store, that it was included. I took EXLUSIVE because we are buying digitally and not physically. NO WHERE does it say it's the pre-order bonus. That is what confused me.

The promotional news for the Elsweyr pre-order is framed like traditional news like in a newspaper. A headliner with the eye catching bits, followed by the a reiteration in complete detail.

What we see is the headliner citing pre-order bonuses followed by mugshots and details of the pre-order items and collector's edition items. Then comes the separate descriptive piece that gives all the details on the pre-purchase and the editions and its conditions.

The parts you've quoted is simply the main text explaining the different editions and the promotional period that is eligible for the pre-order.

I guess the problem is I visited the stores before I read that article. So I assumed that was the products since I clearly see the differences of what the packages offer. So having that in mind and then reading the article afterwards, it seemed to me there would be extras because the stores DON'T say anywhere they are pre-order bonuses and even says DIGITAL EXCLUSIVES.

Oh well, doesn't matter. Just bought the Collector's Edition. Just bumbed there is no physical Collector's Edition to go with my Summerset and Morrowind. Missed out on the ESO Collector's edition because it wasn't sold in Canada or only select stores got to sell them.
