Medium or Heavy armor on PvP Redguard Stamden?

NecromanticKing
I'm just starting my first PvP character, been looking around at builds but I've no idea what I should be going for. The builds from popular streamer sites were a DW Dagger/2H Medium Armor and a 1H+Shield/2H Heavy Armor build, wasn't really sure what would perform better in PvP and basic PvE content (This character is also my mat farmer)

Both can perform well if you know how to play them. Do you prefer killing stuff quicker or does dying make you upset? If you like quick kills, medium armor, if you cant handle being squishy (especially while you learn how to pvp), heavy armor. A lot of people hate dying. Personally I dont see I like killing stuff quicker and in my mind the penalty for dying in this game is extremely low, so I like medium armor.

Heavy. Redguards have great sustain, as do Wardens so the extra from medium isn’t really necessary. Just go for a high pen/high wpn damage build. Shuffle is just such a garbage skill these days.

If I have a healer in group or if I’m in a cp campaign I do heavy.

If I’m in No CP or solo queueing for a BG and don’t get a healer, I use medium.

Medium can be more survivable than heavy due to the extra mobility, but that is a skill set that takes time to develop.

Sorry, I voted for medium right off based on the title without reading the rest of you post... Since it’s your first PvP toon I would say go heavy on body and pair it with a damage set until you gain experience. That way you’ll have a good balance of damage and tankiness while you learn. Once you feel comfortable, then I’d go medium all the way. Outside option that you might consider would be medium brass with a damage set.
