Parse on 51mil target dummy

Yesterday I wanted to get a new parse with update 22 changes. For my main the impact is on the change to Daedric Prey.

I don't have a combat dummy of my own, so I went to a guild house and found a robust lambent centurion. Mind you while people refer to parses by using 3mil or 6mil dummies, there is nothing I can find on a combat dummy indicating what its health is. You just have to know. And I didn't know.

So I started fighting it...and fighting it...and fighting it. It took 23 minutes! I wish it was clearer what the health of target dummies were. This guy had 51mil health. You know afterwards I looked and could not find a list of target dummies and health. Only descriptions like, this is comparable to a vet trial boss. Or descriptions by players that regular are 3 mil and robust are 6 mil, but that alone doesn't tell me if something like the Mournful Aegis is 3 or 6 mil. I believe Mournful Aegis is 6 mil, but I wish I could provide a citation because I simply can't find a list of target dummies and health.

Anyway, I got 37k dps on the 51mil dummy. I'm happy with that, because it was such a long period that there were mistakes made that it is a good reflection of how I can perform. I'll look for a 6mil dummy and I can probably get over 40k with that, but I'm happy I could sustain 37k over such a long period.

What are you playing on? Surely you can see the health of targets, even on console? Do you need to change a setting?

That's about 37k DPS on an extended fight - not too bad!

Or did I miss your point?

You're right. I forgot about that because I have never played with numbers displayed on the screen so it never occurred to me to turn them on. That is a setting isn't it.

You certainly can display the Health of a target on it's health bar. It is in the settings.

If you haven't gone through the settings, you may be missing A LOT of visual information.
