Game closes when closing the launcher

Since the Elsweyr update, it is not possible anymore to close the launcher without also closing the game.
This was possible all the time before and usually done to prevent it from unnecessarily using up memory that would be better spent for the game itself.
Please make it possible to close the launcher again while keeping the game running (or even better, close the launcher automatically once the game starts).
I'm on a Win10 PC, using the original game launcher.
- start the launcher
- start the game (login or not doesn't matter)
- close the launcher by any means (Alt+Tab to the launcher and click the X at the top or open task manager to stop the launcher process only)
--> the game is closed as well
EDIT: As additional info, it doesn't work the same the other way round - meaning it IS possible to close the game without closing the launcher.
