I thought about it for a long time. Zos should made special trader. We can trade him unnecessary vma weapon for some points. And we can trade N points for right weapon. What do you think about it?

Any new system so we don't have to run VMA a hundred times to get the one weapon we want.

How about deconstructing a vma weapon gives you a piece of a part to create another vma weapon of your choosing.

Take away too many grinds and you lose those "ahhh finally!!!" moments that make you feel good. The effort and reward approach that MMOs take is why they're addictive to play, humans like small rewards along the way.

I know it took me forever to get my inferno staff (and I need more...) but it was all worth it in the end.

From the title I thought you meant a guild trader with vMA as a location. Sounds fun.

This idea has been around as long as VMsA.

Honestly vMA has grown a lot easier over time, first off we have tons more CP, secondly we are all getting better at the game, thirdly tranmutation. We are at a point now in eso where it's easier than ever before to get best in slot gear. There has to be some grind to get your vMA bow. I am sorry for you if it takes 200 runs. But you're one in 10.0000. MMO's need some reward systems that actually takes effort to feel rewarding.

The issue with these systems is that the insentive is to farm a number to a certain point. Where as random drops leaves it uncertain when you will have it. This way the reward is much greater first time you get your staff, other than just straight up purchasing it after 10 runs.

I think there has to be a point where we can't just keep pushing content to be less grindy. MMO's are a progression --> grind, getting rewarded, setting new goals. This is how MMO's survive years on end where other games bleeds players by the day.

RNG loot is idiotic because there are so many different varieties.

That vMA is far easier than it used to be makes it far less interesting and therefore much more tedious to grind. That's part of why I haven't touched it in years. I liked it better when it kept me on my toes in 2.2.

Even though I wouldn't use it anymore, I'm still pretty salty about getting every vma weapon in almost all traits, but not a single Inferno of any trait.

I agree with this, in theory. It is a great feeling to get that long-sought after item. However, I've played this game for a few years now and STILL have yet to get a second Vicious Ophidian dagger to drop, for any of my 3 characters. I could not imagine the angst if I had the same luck with a VMA bow.

The RNG in this game is anything but random. While I have zero evidence backing my hypothesis, I feel that the game is designed to give you the opposite of your character's needs, i.e. a stamina player will be more likely to get a staff. Or designed to give you a better chance at getting a non-preferred item, i.e. the utter trash you get over and over and over again from Undaunted keys until you get the piece you need.

For VMA or VDSA, it would be nice to have a change. Even if its something where you can choose from 3 random items, kind of like the rewards you get when leveling from 1-50.

What do I think? I think that this must about the 10,379th thread on this issue. Trait change was their response to several years of forum complaints, about PVE grinds, and VMA was certainly the biggest offender.

Won’t happen, and at this point, it just seems like a waste of dev resources. Anyone who has actually grinded that place (not just said they ran it 500 times on the forums) has more of each weapon than they know what to do with. And if you don’t, well maybe RNGesus hates you, or maybe you just need to run it a few more times like the rest of us.

I’ve got 15 infernos in the bank. 12lightning in the bank. 12 bows because I just deconstructed 30 of them. Every toon has every flavor of Maelstrom Weapon I might ever use on them. I might have maybe 300 runs? Not sure there’s no counter. I right like the place now.
