Lovely sneaky magsorc nerfs

Couple of changes stood out to me when reading sorcerer patch notes.

Most impartantly, hardened ward's value is reduced by 20% (since it was bugged and applied 40% increase)? I always wondered why the scaling is so horrendeously higher than dampen.

Pets damage no longer double dips in mundus stones? Didnt know, hopefully this turns down ludicrous twilights.
Pets take 50% more damage and have 50% reduced shielding and healing? While I like having more counterplay to this broken class, I feel this might make pets increadibly glassy, hopefully not extinct.

Pretty excited to see how the matriach performs post patch. Did I miss anything?

Pets were just fixed, they weren't receiving proper battle spirit.

For most of the PvP sorcs shield values are unchanged.

I’m still going to be facerolling on my sorc with half the effort as my magblade. They managed to give my builds one downfall a significant buff. 10% more mag return from endless fury AND it will return if target dies within 5 seconds as opposed to killing blow. Absolutely insane sustain buff and no clue who at ZOS thought this was remotely a good idea. I’m going to be able to drop some mag recov glyphs and spec out more damage and this is going to translate to MORE recovery. Lol.

Outside of NBs and Sorcs mains, does anyone care that they get nerfed?

Like I even dusted off my old NB and played around with it the last few days and it got ridiculous on how well and fast I could kill people compared to any of my other characters. As for Sorcs, its the same thing, just more cancerous.

This was in the original beta patch notes. Nothing sneaky about it.

Is nerf the right word? They weren't affected by battlespirit and doubled your mundus bonus.. I'd like to know when that was discovered and why it wasn't corrected sooner in a maintenance patch.

No wonder the birds were near unkillable.

That was so much a secret that you could see it by just looking the shield value vs the tooltip description.

So evil magsorcs.

Results are there : 20% shield less and some pets nerfs.

Was it needed ? Probably.

Should people ingnore it and cry nErF sOrCs ? No.

People crying about petsorc before even fighting the nerfed elsweyr version is hilarious.

I can't pvp until the weekend cos of moving and my net transfer cutting my current connection earlier today... so I haven't gotten a chance to test how much better it's gotten, but before patch it was broken.

The way I see it... if I attack you, your pets can do dmg and heals, if I attack your pets you can ward them and attack me still...

BUT you can't just sit in that 4 pet fortress breaking LoS, spamming HAs or Master Lightning reach and have unkillable pets... that seems broken... something has to die.

If you gonna puss out and sit in your atro, I should be able belt the crap out of your matriarch without too much difficulty so you come out of the hidey hole and do more than hold left mouse button...

So it's probably a good change...

PS 'you' used in the general sense for all the sad people who adopted this play style, not you personally...

@Aedaryl is there a way to see what the actual value of a shield is on console or do we just get the tooltip and a guess based on the visual?

Not if they have CC immunity.

Right now, the only channel that can be interrupted through CC immunity is resurrection.

Hence why I said what I said.
