In a month how many of the Necromancers will still be playing?

I plan to start one and make it my new main, and play it through til hell freezes over (pun intended).

I wonder how many will play for a short bit and go back to their main characters.....

I'll excited to try it, but honestly it looks super clunky and unfun.

I'd guess you see more of the people who are super into necromancer flavor sticking with it, and if it ends up being OP in PvP or PvE, it'll stick around, but if it ends up nicely balanced...

Corpse mechanic is clunky to the max. We'll see.

A month is all it takes to learn how to counter a class in PvP, and since mag is a meme in PvP...Cut 50%, carry the 1, minus, minus, minus, and....maybe 10% will be left!

Everyone will make a necro, not everyone will still want to play one but it will still be popular, and of course it will hit it's nerf cycle in about 4 months so it will still be above the mean at 20%

It will be a low number because there's still a myriad of issues with the class. You can still get bounties in dungeons, for example. Apparently, tweaking NB's overloaded toolkit took higher precedence over working a brand new class...

I say 10%, just because the second the patch is up and the servers running, EVERYONE will make at least one Necromancer, maybe even 2 or 3, but I guess most of them will return to their mains sooner or later. I will try one too, but I am sure I will go back to my Werewolf, unless the necromancer turns out to be super fun to play.

I mean, I expect a great many people will prefer their mains, but still play their necromancer alts now and then.

A more interesting question would be how many would keep playing their new necromancer as primary character...

Not very many. The corpse mechanic is terrible, it's very clucky and isn't enjoyable at all. You will see very few Nercos in Cyrodiil due to the terrible corpse mechanic, and how badly designed Blastbones is. This class is going to be complete trash for Mag, and subpar for Stam in PvP. The hype will die very quick.

i'll run one stam, just because, but - as many here have indicated - the rotation is very clunky and the damage is kind of meh.

I hope there will be few playing as well. The initial rush of curiosity seekers will wane, and they'll go back to their preferred class. Some will give it the old college try, but it still won't feel right.

I'd say 3 months is a truer gauge of who will really stick with it. It will also allow for a nerf to hit, or some other change that cheeses people off. Or, maybe they will make using corpses as a 4th resource a more palatable design choice, and more people will play the class. Who knows.

In a month, I’m guessing somewhere around half. I plan to make one right away and try it out - just like I do with any new content. I don’t see myself maining the class now though. It just looks like more of a role-play class to me at the moment.

Most will. Geez - just because some min/maxers are unsatisfied and ya'll think the world is falling. How about having some fun, which is at least 80% of the ESO population. They just don't come onto the boards to complain, and these forums represent a tiny bit of the ESO population!
