After the maintenance done but I would not take a leave of absence from the work on a release/big patch day.

I'm gonna have the entire week of Console Launch off from work cause I'll be recovering from Gallbladder removal Surgery. It was originally a planned Vacation anyway, but then I learned I have Gallstones...

Anywhoo it's fairly easy to get a decent experience of new content on launch day, just go where everyone isnt. Ignore the main questline for a while and explore. Or take time off from work and play during off hours when majority are asleep and you won't have to wake up for work.

I hope you get well soon!
The problem with the launch day is that you never know how long the downtime will take. Could be 8 hours, could be 12...
If it's PC EU, you will probably get another downtime following the launch day.

Expect a lot of bugs, queue lines in waiting, disconnections, and a flood of people complaining about someone else stealing their corpses.
