I have been away from the game for well over a year and have just now come back, which I am starting to think was a mistake. Danel Telleno, tells me to make a glyph. So, I go and make a glyph, find. Didn't work! Making the glyph worked, but it did not satisfy Danel or the game.

Yeah.... it's a specific glyph: Trifling Glyph of Health.

If you're on PC, get the Lazy Writ Crafter addon....

He wants you to make a trifling health glyph with Ta

Trifling - Jora
Health - Oko
and of course - Ta

What confused me when I first started was the alchemy had no idea what plants to use

natural water
columbine
mountain flower

ghastley

The certification quests require you to make the items to the exact recipe. No equivalents allowed. e.g. in that alchemy one, you cannot use other ingredients with the same effects.

IIRC initially it didn't tell you it had to be a white lvl glyph, so I was a bit confused

Lazy writ crafter makes me.. not lazy, but being able to focus on more important stuff. Sometimes I forget how confusing this game can be.

actually, it does say "trifling" - which is the white equivalent.

once youve done it once, itll pop up - and as your on pc you can use lazy writ crafter to do it for you whilst us console plebs have to make do with memorising everything.

@MJallday Nope. "Trifling" is the level, not the quality. A green glyph is still called trifling. I think I made a green health glyph when I first did that quest, but figured out on my own that it had to be a Ta when no proper dialogue showed up. But it was confusing. I am 90% sure they added the 'with Ta' part later.
