Opinion about nerfs/buffs

I've discovered recently that the nightblade was going to be nerfed - again - which kinda pissed me off.
I mean, there is barely no class that has been as much nerfed over the last 5 years than the nightblade.
I agree, nightblades are really deadly when well played but I really don't understand what is the goal of deleting every little boost our different spells give us. For example, our invisibility, if you play stamina nightblade, is quite crap : it doesn't even last 3 secs (2.9), there are many spells and potions/poisons that can prevent it and using block also prevents from critical when coming out of invisibility. We are the squishiest class in the game and nerfing our spells' boosts won't help.

I already see you coming and saying : Nightblades can OS.
Yes, they can. But it rarely happens (it never happens if you're always on your guards and being cautious. Only noobs and people who make mistakes get oneshot.
But be honest too : good sorcerers, templars, dragonknights (especially those as they're going to be buffed again [most boosted class atm] and soon necromancer are as deadly as a nightblade.
Yes, it might take you a bit more time. BUT IT IS NORMAL ! You are not assassins. You can fight longer and you have (in general), better healing/damage reduction. You are meant to be deadly overtime ; not deadly in a few seconds !
Moreover, don't forget what makes a character deadly : PLAYER'S SKILLS !
If you suck, well, you suck.
If you're alright, then you'll do alright.
If you're insane, then you'll do insane stuff.

I just want to say that I am sorry for mag sorcerers. You had a too good shield, that is true. But the way it's been nerfed, even in PvE, isn't fair. It's has been nerfed a bit too much to my opinion (it was way too satisfying when I could kill a fully shielded mag sorc after a few mins fighting ; now it's become easier and it's less challenging).

Anyway, after this little whining from me (I had to do it : it's been four years now that I play and every time there is a patch, my stam nb gets nerfed), I wanted your opinion about the upcoming patch. Are you satisfied with the different buffs/nerfs ?

This reminds me of the old WoW days, when Blizzard finaly nerfed Rogues, and the forum was full of Rogue players crying that the class is so weak when you are not a godlike player, and how unfair these nerfs are, how they will ruin the class…

Yeah… didnt happen, the rogue was still a PvP beast, the only thing that changed was that your chances of fighting back when a decent Rogue decided he wanted you dead increased from 0% to like 60%.

And now I see Nightblades come here… its really nice to see that this same old song and dance never changed a bit in over 14 years xD

Everyone wants balance until it touches thier class, eh?

Sorcs claimed the sky was falling when the shield changes happened. After playing them, though, things seem to have worked out.
They are just as numerous in Cyrodiil and battlegrounds as ever before, if not more so. Especially battlegrounds, running two pets and atro... not unusual to see 6 to 8 sorcs in one battleground. Definitely wouldn't be the case if the class couldn't perform.

So, give it some time. What you now perceive as a nerf might actually turn into a buff after putting in a little work with how the class plays.

Also the only real nerf that stamblades are getting is the loss of major defile on incap, so that now you’ll have to work it into your kit like other stam classes. Every other change works out to a VERY minimal damage loss and now you’re getting another 15% possible mitigation plus a heal attached to assassins will. Cry me a *** river.

Would you rather be a stam sorc or stamina templar that can’t even use half their passives? Or maybe you’d like to trade so that you have no more class damage skills.

That's exactly why this is crap ; we shouldn't be as every other classes (same for the other ones by the way).
Each class should have its strengths and weaknesses... but now, every class can be anything : every one can be invisible, every one can prevent nightblades from stealth, every one can have finishers, etc...
    This is getting boring AF...

As I said earlier, skilled people will remain skilled. So it won't change much for those.
I consider myself to be not too bad with my NB.
I just find deceiving to see that some classes requires much more skill than some others...

Most of those sorcerers swap from mag sorcs to stam sorcs...

But yeah, I just want it balanced. Would be great for once they don't nerf nightblades...
As you can see in the patch logs, stam nb are getting nerfed every single time since 4-5 years whereas DKs are getting buffed again and again.

Why the hell should they suppress stun ? It makes no sense...
Moreover, all our skills or pretty much all of them are dodgeable whereas many of other classes' spells aren't. That is unfair.

Anyway, I agree it will take some time to get used to it and I am sure I'll find a way to make it work.

And let me ask you this : if a nightblade cannot assassinate people (which means killing people fast), what the hell is his purpose ?? If you know a little how to play, a nightblade is easy to counter. It just requires practice and skill, which bores little kids playing ESO...

I mean I’m just going to throw this out there dawn breaker. You guys think incap is op? Dawnbreaker. Undodgable large cone aoe large first and second damage over time oh and it stuns and can his a whole large group of people. As a stam sorc you cast hurricane dawnbreaker spin to win and it’s over. As a stamplar you dawnbreaker jabs to death. As a warden you shalk dawnbreaker spin to win. Am I getting the message loud and clear? The real op stamina skill is dawnbreaker. You have incap that has 5 meter range (super easy to dodge or get out of range even just by accident) is actually dodgeable hits one target (Only one) the damage buff you get is only against that player not other players. It stuns now only if you have 120 ulti and only if player isn’t blocking or running immovable. And the defile helps to keep these super power builds from being like ok crap I got hit hard I’m going to heal up and shrug it off. At least for a few seconds. On Xbox NA pvp is loaded with heavy armor heavy hitting super healing builds that can still dump dawn breaker and kill multiple people. You see it all the time in the towers just kiting and healing taking the full brunt of my 5000 weapon damage as if it was nothing then when ult is up them slam that dawnbreaker taking half of us to about half health and then they focus that person and kill them and rinse and repeat. Even with how incap is live you can’t kill these players alone.

Nerfs happen. Nobody likes em but one can only avoid it by playing a single player game. Or a dead MMO in maintenance mode.

Well, for me, playing stam sorc is total *** because only 4 spells cost stamina...
So, over 10 spells you can use (15 if you got the 3rd bar), more than half aren't even from your class...
It's the only logic if stamsorc aren't as good as stamnb

The worst is that everybody can use this spell...
What I regret is that stamnb has to rely on too many spells designed for everybody to play with : executioner (300% dmg when target is below 50% health : better than killer's blade from nb spells), rally (one of the most insane self heal ever), bow spells etc...
I wish classes had stronger personal spells so strat would be far more interesting.
