lost skill line (psijic order)

hi, any one else had problems with loosing unlocked skill lines?
I unlocked the psijic order skill line couple of months ago, up to Level 2 – Iliac Bay, but never spent any points in it, tbh I found the quest line really boring, so I took a break from it, was going to continue the quest today, just to notice it was gone, and Im back on the "The Queen’s Decree” part of the quest line, ofc I contacted customer support, witht the reply we cant restore skill lines, make a feedback/bug report.
making a feedback/bug report ticket will not restore my lost progress since, well they dont reply to feedback/bug reports.
so have any one, lost progress like this, and somehow got it restored?
Im asking since this is the second time in just a few months that I lost things due to what I guess is some form of data corruption on their end.
first I lost several homes, that I cant even buy anymore, and now a skill line, so who knows what will be lost next:/

For what it is worth: you might be able to recover by using the game feature that de-allocates all of the character's Skill Points. But I do not know whether that will restore the Skill Points which were expended in the previously unlocked Psijic Order abilities and passives. If it does, then perhaps you can re-allocate them to again unlock the previously-acquired skills and abilities (or at least regain the Skill Points). Or you might be able to re-allocate Skill points to Psijic Order abilities and passives to restore them regardless of whether you recover any of the Skill Points which you originally expended. Beware, however, that there could be risk that attempting to de-allocate, thus recover, all of the character's expended Skill Points might render all of the character's previously acquired abilities and passives in every Skill Line unrestorable.

In my experience, the quests which are rewarded with Skill Points are not repeatable, regardless of whether any quests that lead to them can be repeated. (IMHO, there should be a feature in the gameware which permits a player character to repeat the quests, if and when someone who has the authority to permit it will do so. Else, there should be a way to restore the expended Skill Points to the character by fiat. But neither is currently implemented, or, if implemented, not permitted.)

So far I have not lost any skill lines, just Titles awarded for Achievements. Nonetheless, note that when a character is awarded a Skill Point for completing a quest, there is an associated Achievement. So it might be worthwhile to check whether the corresponding Achievements awarded, while earning skill points to unlock Psijic Order abilities and passives, are still recognized. However, I do not suppose that there is likely anything which you can do if they are not.

There are at least three broad questions as to why the problem occurs, or as to what it is.
    1. The data may be correctly recorded, but a subsequent flaw in the design, or an error(s) while changing features and/or introducing new ones, either makes the data inaccessible or incorrectly retrieved. Such flaws and errors can also cause new data to be incorrectly recorded, and existing data to be incorrectly changed or inappropriately deleted.
    2. Flaws and/or errors in the database storage system per se might be corrupting the data or impairing access to it.
    3. The data may be corrupted by flaws in, and/or deterioration of, the storage media and/or the system memory.
Whether it might be technically possible, ZOS Support will not (apparently as a matter of policy) attempt to restore a game-state that has evidently become corrupted in the megaserver database. IIRC, in the Terms of Service ZOS does not guarantee or warrant that the player's input to the game software will result in correct output, and/or that any data created during the course of play will never be corrupted. If it is corrupted, then no action will taken explicitly to recover or correct it.

Again, there is no guarantee, but eventually the ZOS developers might have the time and skill to make the effort to find and correct the design flaws and implementation errors in the game client and/or the megaserver per se, to prevent the data corruption from continuing to occur. Depending upon the nature of the problems, it may be possible (whether likely) that in doing so, they could be able to restore the game-state to what it was originally.

Too bad, so sad. The set of emoticons for this forum is short by several that it could have, too.
