The Z symbol next to threads

So much more often than not, do we see this symbol, and the dev comment is them saying they've removed some player comments, and is nothing related to the issue brought up. Can we fix this disproportion in response types please? And to the community, I'm sure most of you don't, but it's a waste getting excited when a Z is next to a thread for an issue you care about. Odds are the only people there are the ones deleting troublesome comments.

I agree, it would be nice if they could "mute" the Z when all they are doing is informing us they edit/removed stuff that violated the rules.

ZOS has looked into the possibility of giving moderators a different symbol... an 'M' perhaps.

I expect we'll see this implemented in roughly 20 years time.

We need zos moderators because some posts get quite heated and it sometimes leads to abusive comments

Having a different symbol for the moderators sounds like a great idea.

I agree that a different symbol would be fantastic. Failing that, simply removing the notification from the title that a thread has been moderated would be an alternative idea. Having the same symbol for moderation and dev comments is borderline trolling (not on purpose but due to poor design).

You are mixing up developers with forum moderators. The developers rarely ever post here.

I doubt this will be done as it would only highlight how rare it is to see genuine communication on these forums by ZOS

Should be Z for ZOS feedback and N for Nanny.

I think it's better than what we have currently which is what only appears to be actual dev conversation but upon closer inspection is just a lot of moderation.

I remember some of the CA members spoking with Gina and Jess about this in the past, I think one of the ideas was another symbol/colour but IIRC it wasn't something they could do.

We are talking about two years ago for this conversation though, so sorry for basically having nothing of detail to say. I remember we discussed it and it was a no go, I don't remember the full reasons why.

They read the forums posts. They should not and do not need to reply to every single forum post. The forum mods try to let the community have conversations without "big brother" watching. I would guess that 95% of the time, the idea has been talked about multiple times and a quick search would get you your "Z" response. But let's be honest, it's not about seeing the "Z" on the question, it's about getting a "Z" response to your post.

It would be cool to see them more active in some of threads outside of copy paste comment removal statements. They do once in a while engage. A little more Zeni-Voice would be really exciting.

It is possible, if their developers can't code that there are some worries to be had.

I am sure there is quiet a bit from personal accounts. And a reason for not posting much on official accounts is to keep misinformation down or information that is passed on and then scrapped or changed.

A simple change like leaving the Z red for moderation and changing Z to green for Dev/Community support members can't be that hard.
If it is Vanilla Forums Software has to be the worst package out there.

How about ZM for moderator comment and just Z for dev comment.

Would be clear and I would not search for the comment just to find out it is a moderator comment and be sad...

When I made a thread like that they told me to use the Dev Tracker instead. :D
