Ebony (Old) !?!

Story
Yesterday I used the PTS to create a Tank .
I took out the gear I wanted from the crates.
Beside Fortified Brass I used Ebon Armory.
I watched my Char fight some Dragons
and while I did that I realised that I pretty like the style of Ebon Armory.

Searching
I searched on the internet and found out Ebon Armory is:
Crafting Motif 37: Ebony Style Book
This style was replaced by Ebony Style, and as such only exists vestigially.
Old Ebon Style pieces are labeled as Soul Shriven style.

Question
Is there any way to get the old Ebon Armory Style?
(except wearing Ebon Armory from Crypt of Hearts I, Crypt of Hearts II)
Any special Motif or Costum?

I'm sorry if, for some, I ask such a stupid question but
I don't know much about motifs or character customization.

If you're looking for the soul shriven style, it's quite easy to get. Take a character and complete Cadwell's Silver (the second alliance' main quests), and you'll get that as a reward. (from what you're saying, that's the style you're looking for, and it's easy to get, if you play through the quests quickly enough).

I was searching for soul shriven aswell and it doesn't looks like old Ebon.

To be clear, Ebon Armory is not Ebony Style. You can craft Ebony Style, but you cannot craft Ebon Armory.

No - I too LOVED old ebon style - and it's GONE as far as I know.

Only way to get it now would be if someone is selling a piece they picked up before the change in a guild store. It used to not be bound

And the NEW ebon (like if you got a cuirass now) looks NOTHING LIKE the old ebon; the old ebon actually looked a LOT like the Emperor costume - but not the same - but 'floral' like that.

There never was a style for it.

It was GONE from game before there were ever motif past the racials/the purple ones (daedric, primal etc)/the imperial book.

Like before glass motif even came out - it was changed - the style.

It was changed at the same time as the Light Redguard Chest was changed - among others...I think in April 2016? Or somewhen around there.

Well I still have the old "of the Worm" unbound pieces of the Worm's Raiment set, which used to be dropping back in 2016 in the Craglorn I think it was, trials. Got them in my bank just for the sentimental value, as they look the same as current Worm Cult pieces which drop in Vaults of Madness, only the old pieces have no motif designation unlike the new ones.
So you know, there could still be old Ebon pieces around, though I'd expect people either wanting to keep them, or selling them for millions of gold. Same as the Lire and Jaedi runes from earliest days of the game, which were not supposed to drop.

AND IT IS NOT THE SAME NOW! You will get the new style which is not the same as the old ebon xD

I think I have a couple of old Ebon Armory pieces. Their pop-up window do not show Soul Shriven on the top left and they are or rather were (I'm either using them or have decon'ed them since I came back to the game) bind on equip. Beside being bind on equip they do not show any motif at all on that top left corner. Not sure if that is a bug of an add-on I might have or something else though.

On hindsight, I probably should have used or deconned this stuff. Perhaps I could have sold them to collectors. Oh well

Crafted Soul Shriven looks completely different from dropped sets that seem to have this style - they drop Azure Plasm when deconstructed - like Ebon Armory and Worm's Rayment. Crafted Ebony style is the closest visual equivalent, though it uses a Night Pumice. The only set that drops in Ebon, AFAIK is Ravager (PvP set) and that one does drop Night Pumice when deconstructed. This is rather confusing, but not uncommon. For example the Red Mountain set looks differently than the Ashlander style from Vvardenfell, but pieces you deconstruct drop the style material, Ash Canvas.

Just check my alts. Both pieces, old and new, look exactly the same now, even though the tooltip is different.

I just logged back on the PTS and still the "old" style.



I would really wish we had the old style on the live server as well

Isn't that what is on live? It's a bit hard to tell because the metal sections are really dark, but it looks like it.

I miss the skirt... which make this armor pretty awesome in my eyes.
The live version just looks like every other armor. Nothing special.

You can still find them on live. The screenshot below is from Galactic Trade Martket in Mournhold, taken right now on PC EU. This has got to be one of the old pieces, since the new ones are bind on pickup + trade with group. It's a bit pricey just to check (60k) but perhaps something a bit more affordable (that is actually a set and not a piece of craft Ebony level gear) will show up...
