The Oroborus is a symbol that predates both GoT and TES.
The mythological Ouroboros is a single serpent devouring its own tail either in a circular form or in the shape of an infinity symbol. Modern designs have doubled the pattern to expand it into knotwork, but the tripartate version made its first appearance as a design by TES. The GoT version has been designed with three dragons but is similarly non-traditional, and since it's so much more recent than TES it does look as if someone drew their inspiration from the TES design.

I could understand that, but at that time i did not know what his name was Oroborus.
I saw that symbol in a Mayan pyramid, but they were a serpent like you say, and just one, it means the cosmic cycle.
Infact, you are inaccurate as heck, it is not always dragon, many times depending on the culture it is a snake. Also it has nothing to do with Judaism (israelites/hebrews).KillsAllElves wrote: »infact this symbol is used by all cultures including early europeans, ancient greeks, ancient assyrians, the indians who are asiatic, ancient egyptians, phoenecions, israelites/hebrews etc etc.. The ouroboros is not a snake it is a dragon. All cultures get this dragon from one source.
