Sprint Build for MAGICKA class

Okay I’m going to preface by saying I will not race change or grind up a new toon.
So my main crafter/harvester is a high elf sorcerer. I want to equip him with sets that reduce Sprint cost, not worried too much about speed since I can use skills for a Major Exoedition.
What sets can reduce Sprint cost?

Fiord's Legacy: (5 items) Reduces the cost and increases the Movement Speed bonus of Sprint by 15%.

    And Darkstride as well.

Sprint reduction is in the green cp tree too...

For sorc you take coward and prisoner sets, slot streak and dark convertion.

Voilà you now beat 60% horse. Its just insaly fast for farming nods and skyshards.

    P.S
Trust me, it beat every other advice. You take divine traits and the stone for faster sprint.

    Prisoners rags

This in combination with Dark Deal. Little effort for basically endless sprinting.

You can't use skill while sprinting isn't it?

This is why I wrote 'basically'. You need to Dark Deal now and then, but with 50% sprint cost reduction from Prisoners Rags and some more from CP, it's not often.

Use CP and Essence of Speed and Essence of Stamina. 5 x light Willows Path well-fitted and 5 Prisoner rags. Light armor Grace passive. Thats more then enough for harvesting.

    Don't forget the speed cap.

My plan was to use Darkstride (50% reduction) and then Prisoners (50% reduction with Magicka Regen) then use streak and Rapid Maneuvers

It will depend also on whether you have extra skill points to put into the medium armor passives that reduce sprint cost + boost sprint speed while wearing medium armor.

I have the exact character template as you (altmer mag sorc) as my main/crafter. I played around with combinations of darkstride, coward's, and Fiord's. Wearing all well-fitted with the medium armor passives and using purple tri-stat food my stamina never got below 50% because you're also stopping regularly to harvest nodes.

There's no need to worry about dark deal or streak, etc. You'll be at, or near the speed cap anyway, especially if you pair Fiord's with Coward's, and the Fiord's + well fitted + passive reduction to sprint cost will make it virtually free.

Yeah, have a set of fiords/cowards/darkstride. 2 pieces impen rest well fitted. Can run bgs on Stan builds as well as overground on any build for generally getting stuff done stupidly fast.

Coward already give you major expedition and doesn,t drain your stam like spamming rapid manoeuvre, thats why it beats Darkstride.

Coward + prisoneer boost your run speed and your mana regen. That coupled with conversion mean that you basicaly spend more time spaming streak then running.

Darkstride isn't as good as coward for a sorc. I was hella slower with that one.

On a sorc I played around with I ran cowards gear on jewelry, transmuted to 2 arcane (spell damage) 1 infused (mag recovery), weapons to whatever youre comfortable with, I personally ran lightning staff and ice staff. Body was 5 prisoner rags. H&S Engine Guardian. 5 impen 2 well fitted. Atronach Mundus. Tristat Food for Max Stats one for the max stam for Dark Conversion and the other, which is the draw back to this build, is that it’s a little low on the max Magicka side. Tristat potions.

Front Bar: Force Pulse, (Or Elemental Weapon) Crystal Frag, Hardened Ward, Steak, Dark Conversion, And Ice Comet

Back Bar: Elemental Blockade, (Or RAT), Haunting Curse, Mages Wrath, Surge, Defensive Rune And DBoS

The purpose of the build was pretty much to kite, then set up the burst. Basically once they start to pursue you you’d hit elemental blockade to slow them down as they chased and a chance for them to be immobilized, I’d also pop defensive ruin and wait either for them to dodge roll or to apply the stun, at this part we are just wanting them to waste stamina, we don’t have to worry about magicka regen because we will have plenty, a little bit of stamina regen management is required because we are sprinting we don’t want to be ooS in case of a cc.

Keep shields up and watch for them to get fatigued. This is when you do the good old sorc combo then I typically go into a streak/ice comet or a DBoS.

The biggest draw back to the build was magicka on the lower side, and damage wasn’t too great, but IMO understanding mechanics is in itself better than stacking damage. (not that it doesn’t help).
