Depends. If you mostly 1v1 or zerg surf, its a nerf. If you do group PVP or fight large groups, its a buff (for the large group), because it dispels a lot of the effects that actually do damage to the group.

Depends. If you mostly 1v1 or zerg surf, its a nerf. If you do group PVP or fight large groups, its a buff (for the large group), because it dispels a lot of the effects that actually do damage to the group.

So what we are saying here is that people complained earthgore helped clueless people survive a fight they should not... as a result they buffed ball group and nerfed small scale?

I was using it as a crutch on my DK because she was pretty squishy. It was a good feeling being able to take a beating from several players and not die within a few seconds. When I read about the nerfing to come, though, I quit cold turkey. I'm back to being squishier, but not like I was before EG. I like to think it gave me a bit more confidence when it comes to holding my own in a 1vX.

Only see the patch 5.0.0 values, change to single target heal rather than AoE, still does purge.

There’s better ways than crutching on that trash in a 1vX... literally you can wear almost any decent defensive monster set and it’ll be better than earthgore in a 1vX situation

There’s better ways than crutching on that trash in a 1vX... literally you can wear almost any decent defensive monster set and it’ll be better than earthgore in a 1vX situation

Yeah, but I don't do trials, so I buy my monster pieces with AP. I've missed out on most of those, though I do have bloodspawn. I'm a bit unconventional with my builds usually, lol.

Yep, EG is still ridiculous even after this change, if not more so.

so... am i misunderstanding or did they actualy... buff it for pvp situations and nerf it for pve? aka the OPPOSITE of what people were asking?

Earthgore: This item set now instantly dispels all negative effects, rather than one. The heal granted from this set now only heals the target with the lowest health in the area, rather than the 6 lowest targets in the area.

Yup, Group PvE got nerfed, while PvP got a buff and even solo PvP got a buff since now the negative effect removal went from just one to all. So PvE got shafted. Again.

Pretty much. Since devs wont listen to the majority of who pay for pve content and keep devs employed, I killed my sub.
