Weapon scabbards

To some degree fantasy always have some suspension of disbelief and for the most part I try not to let things I know will never change bother me but seeing swords just appear on my characters back (ignoring the impracticality of it) doesn’t feel right somehow i wish they had considered this when they first designed the game.

Same here.
It would not have taken all that much, really.

Right now, we have a weapon in two versions... sheathed and in the hand. When you draw it, the sheated version is removed and the drawn version attached to your character model - all it would have taken is to make the sheathed version two-part, sheath and weapon, and then remove just the weapon and leave the sheath upon drawing it...

Alas, it was one more thing, so they did not do it. Many games of that time did not, really. Makes me wish they'd refit it...

Another thing I kight wish for in this regard might be some variation on weapons placement. Like... give dual wield options of "hip sheath" or "back sheath", give two-handed options of "backsheath" or "carry sheathed in offhand", that sort of thing. Not that I expect they would do that either.

creating scabbards to all styles would be a huge amount of additional time (70 motifs in now)...i think its just one of those nice to have if you have unlimited resources but otherwise they are spent better elsweyr *^^*
