Hello ZoS.
After i send ticket and recieve the usual BS to check my computer capability to run the game + my internet conection i decide to ask you in the forums and see what you guys will answer me now. (because i dont get any response to my last mail like weeks)
So usualy my internet is stable and my pc is more than ok to run EsO on max settings. Random times / every day/ i lose conection to your servers only. For like 5-6 minutes.
It happens like 3- 10 times per day, and its shity anoying because instead me having fun playing the game i roll dices do i`l get droped from your servers while i do solo/open world or i`m in trial or dungeon. I`m literaly scared to join grps because of those disconects. I wont say the game is unplayable to me, but i do say that grp content is big NO NO. Ppl start ignoring me because no one want to run grp content with randomly disconect ppl.
So it look like this.

As you see i lose conection to your servers only.

And there is today game advisor report / you sugested me to run it in your last response/

As you can see even to NA servers my ping is 35ms (i play from EU /Bulgaria/)
But YOUR lap dog Akamai servers dont respond.
I`m not ViP anymore, but i do buy all dlc/chapters + incoming expansion with real money.
Paying for online MMO just to solo play it its not a option i like, or acept.
So please tell me how to solve this.
Dont get me wrong. This is not a threat. I like EsO and after the last updates i like it even more. But if i`m not able to play it, i`l move to other game.

Yep... And close the whole thing down. Imo, they need in house protection against dds not the ridiculousness that is akamai.

Akamai gave me hell on LOTRO. It was slowing my internet to the point I thought something was wrong with my connection and I wasted a ton of both mine and my ISP's time trying to fix it until I finally identified them as a problem.

I wasn't aware ESO used Akamai too. Luckily it hasn't seemed to give me any significant problems on ESO yet. But if you are going through what I went through on LOTRO with Akamai you have my sympathies.

Akamai and other large CDNs and cloud networks get attacked quite frequently. This is the world in which we live.

I'm on the PS4 with Comcast XFinity Premier on the West Coast (supposedly the best in the country) and I have no problems at all...

Okay... except when the NA Server has stutter upon using a Wayshrine... except when interactions freeze completely and I have to log out and in in order to continue... except when interactivity with objects simply doesn't work... except when the server randomly goes out to a load screen in the middle of combat... except when everybody but me is just a black blob... except when...

Try having another continuous ping open going to your default router in your local LAN.

When you encounter the ping timeouts, also check the above pings to your default router. If you see timeouts, then it's local. Perhaps a lose Ethernet port either on your desktop or your router? If you are on WiFi, consider going Ethernet.

I hard wire my PS3 & PS4.

Relying on Wi-Fi is just silly for ESO.

Another thing, it is not always the data host with the issues. Often times it is the route(s) to the host. Seeing as how this issue does not seem to be widespread, a backbone routing issue (for a number of reasons) may be the cause. I had a bad one about 2 years ago for like a week or two. Dropped packets and disconnects made ESO unplayable. Remember, you are crossing continents and satellites are sometimes used instead of fiber/copper lines.

Never had a problem pc or ps4, wifi or lan. Only problem i’ve had was when i had crap rural internet. Moved out of the sticks and things are much better.

Given the main thread from oceanic players is 24-ish pages and not a single word from anyone in the forum, I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for a response in regards to Akamai / connection issues.

Staff members here seem more inclined to post on any thread but the ones that actually require answers.

Akamai is horrible. I know a two network engineers who see no good reason for a large internet company to not use in house ddos measures.

Using a third party for it just asks for problems. Especially in gaming. Most businesses could care less with a few milliseconds lag. Not true for a gaming service and Akamai could care look less about small amounts of lag, all they focus on is access.

The rub, however, is that if businesses don't make money, they just close up shop. Which is precisely what would happen to ESO if the profitability drops to a certain point. They wouldn't devote resources to something unprofitable, largely because they wouldn't have the resources to devote.

Better plan is to keep posting screen shots of routing pathways which clearly show that akamai is the bottleneck for many many people.

I have had major issues starting from Wolfhunter. I couldn't download updates from the launcher and had to resort to using a VPN. There's a thread here in support i believe. We were told it was our ISP when really it wasn't. When pts for Elsweyr went live everything is finally mysteriously working again. Akamai is a problem.

Static IP + port forwarding, regular DNS flush and the use of Mudfish and I almost never get booted from the servers from SE Asia. My ping is stable if not exactly desirable. As long as I restart my router and keep everything updated, make sure firewalls or antivirus programs aren’t interfering its all good. Can 1vX in PvP, participate in large battles and pull 40k DPS etc. Akkamai does introduce some latency, I don’t think that will ever change unfortunately, but if you have an otherwise stable connection and decent ISP then with some regular steps to ensure the best connection possible you should be ok.

Same here. I had to pay an extra 10$ a month do download updates and patches. I also let ESO friends leech off my VPN so they could actually play. Akamai deffinatly is a problem.

both pings run simultaneously
is not my router:)
at the same time while eso was stil down i run 2 other games just for the check /wow and lotro/ping there was 50 in wow and 112 in lotro

No other gane give me such problem and is not about my conection.
You can see it from the screens.
I play this game since closed beta and early acces and i never have such problem until recenty. And nothing changed from my side.

Because thats worked for the last 5 years, im spending my money else where.

Try changing your DNS to googles (8.8.8.8 iirc)

It helps a lot with Akamai. Not sure why but I suspect that it has to do with a built in drop-connection defense mechanism for when the same IP comes in from a different node.
