unfortunately there is nothing ZoS can do because it's being run by a company in China.

China doesn't have any respect for copyright and a lot of people there will steal copyrighted works from people and use it, or sell it for profit without paying the original creator.

the most ZoS can do is push for the advertisement to be removed, but it is unlikely to happen

This happens more than the game industry would like to agree, especially if its in China. China believes copy right is only true if it was made in their country.

Yeah really hard to tell if images have been used in the past as well, cause the graphic deisgn of the ESO dragon kind of looks like one from the Ultima series as well, also pretty hard to copy right images of dragons right cause of DND stuff like that

Google is not well used in China as the Chinese government heavily censors them and pushes to promote China based search engines. They're not even in the top 3 spots for search engines in China because of their constant harassment. Blocking it here means nothing as well, seeing as we aren't the target audience so that won't matter much at all.

Either ZOS or Bethesda can copyright strike if it appears on any platform with that feature. So it's far better to put in a support ticket about it so it can be forwarded to the appropriate department to handle.

i mean if the copyright owners of Sword art online cant keep them from using the name/ripping them off -that prob what the SAO means- then good luck with a image

Only thing they could do is stopping it from officially releasing in the area that respect copy right

A lot of gaming company designing game for mobile phone are doing this. I get a pop up of a new game advertising with either a WoW or a diablo 3 screenshot every weeks.

I had reported this to our forum administrator. Let them tell the game company what's wrong. The game company has already changed their advertising. You won't see those on the internet any more.

I think that's all I can do.
