Growing gardens in your house = mats

Probably discussed before but would be nice to be able to grow alchemy mats in a garden at your house. Could be turned into an entire economy, where the larger garden you grow the more mats you grow like cornflower for instance. Even grow really rare items if you find the "seeds" etc. You could use Alchorest(misspelled probably) or other trash items to water and tend to your plants or they die if not fed often. It could be made to be difficult enough like Jewelry Crafting but with decent rewards for those that stick it out.

It has been discussed before. I think this would be a lot of fun, but they'd have to be very careful about how they design it so as not to disrupt the economy. Personally, I don't know how you'd go about doing that, but I can't say that it's definitively impossible, either.

To be honest, I'd even settle for the ability to grow decorative flower/plant furnishings. That wouldn't disrupt the alchemy ingredient market. Pretty much anything at this point that would give our houses more functionality would be great!

Oh I would love to grow (preferably harvestable) Grapes and Apples.

In theory, you could have planters/pots for houses without exteriors. It really depends on how they want to implement it, and whether they want to restrict it to a certain tier of houses. I don't know what the practical considerations would be.

If, I stress if, they made Harvestable Nodes for our houses, they would have to limit the node to one per account and the node only spawns once a day. Then, they would have to limit the nodes to say one of each type. Anything else would torpedo the economy.

That being said, being able to plant statics of a plant in our homes for decoration would be nice.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

The only way I see it being implemented is if it acted exactly like a hireling. Only one character can access it and only at certain times.

Since there is no alchemy hireling, this could be a fun alternative to it. And those have a 12-24 hour cooldown too, so they can put similar restrictions to prevent abuse/extensive farming.

I really like the idea of growing plant furnishings, which you can then use elsewhere in your homes (put in pots, or whatever).

If you had the choice of removing a few stems (for vases) and leaving the plant there, to continue growing, that would also be really nice.

The current choice of (fairly normal-looking) flowers/plants is pretty limiting, even including the Crown Store ones.

Yeah and really, that would be a step down from the hireling.

As you only have to log on and check your mail, to get your hireling delivery.

Whereas, with this, you would have to travel around your houses (or pick one to grow stuff in) and then harvest, all the time.

That is kind of the problem, here.

Maybe the solution is to make the housing crafting nodes provide furnishing mats, only?

As the hirelings don't deliever those and that would then make them of particular interest to the housing community.
