PTS Necromancer Build: The Colossal Tank. (PvE)

You can view the build here: https://en.m.uesp.net/w/index.php?title=Special:EsoBuildData&id=127916

I thought I would take a crack at making an insane tank build (and I mean literally insane.) because the first thing you may notice, the build results in 102,035 Maximum HP!!! The even scarier part is the 33,000+ resistances which make it all the more sweeter.

But seriously though, if you use the UESP like I do, feel free to copy the build and alter it as you see fit. But just be wary: Builds made on the UESP builder are subject to change at any given time.
If you see me anywhere. Know that I am sitting back with a bag of popcorn, watching as ESO burns the goodwill of its player base with practices that only disrespects the players time like it did to me and many others...

If a game does not respect your time, best thing to do is move on from it and find something else.

I disagree with chudan as well. Also ebon is bugged on weapons. When you bar swap all your team (excluding you) lose the health buff for a moment, resulting in them getting damaged for 1.1k
Edit n3: ok, the more i look at this build the less i like it, amount of resources you have is soooo low. How do you plan on taunting things... Chaining things... Etc...

    1. This should be on the PTS forum.

    2. I tried something just like this for the giggles. Yes, you can get an insane, never-before-seen, level of health with it. Unfortunately, it's also basically useless for exactly the reasons stated above. It's a brick. You can barely heal yourself or cast a few skills, let alone contribute to your team/group in PvP/PvE.
You might take forever to die, but you can easily be ignored until you're the last one left in PvP, and in PvE you won't have any resources to do anything Tanks are supposed to do, like taunt, debuff, chain in adds, control the field, etc.

Sorry, but it's little more than a joke build.

Chudan is fine to use for some builds in order to save bar space, but you have a source of maj resolve/ward slotted anyway so I agree you’re better off with something else.

On paper it looks like it could be okay if given a few quick fixes:
    -Change monster set
    -Change food to tri stat
-Swap positions of plague and ebon pieces
-Change most/all armor enchants (and possibly jewelry traits) to tri stat
    -Change either ult

You might not end up with 100k health and 33k resists, but the build will likely be much more effective for it.

Those resists are without lord warden. At that health value Scythe heals non crit for 9k, and with backbar blockade proccing crusher while also giving you 300 magicka/second before regen, your magicka won't run dry. As far as the questions posters had above:

-You chain with your armor buff.
-You restore stamina with heavy attacks. That build can take a swipe from Olms in form without blocking (yes vet, yes I tested).
-Don't try to use the tank for score. For progression, what can you imagine is more useful than a tank that cannot die with the ability to res 3 people from range just about instantly?
-Scythe crit heals are busted, man.
-This build can straight up reset dungeon fights faster than you can say "dude where's my guar?"

The necromancer class is insanely OP. I wonder if they will do any major nerfs to it, or if it will be the next best overall class... it seems to have the toolbox to do everything well.

Green pact, plague doctor, lord warden. Infused chest, legs, head and shield with divines for the rest.

You could just allocate more into enchants and points to buff mag/stam.

One certainly could, but due to the nature of rarely being required to block I've found 18k stam is sufficient. The cool part is I can trade block enchants for mag recovery ones, which grants a substantial sustain boost. Heavy attacks with ice staff are an option, but I prefer the one hand and shield heavies as they're faster. I also prefer regen to ice heavies, even on the beefy tanks. That's... kinda sad.
