Expanding Transmutation Station function for Staves

I think it would be incredibly helpful if it was possible to include an option on the transmutation station to change the element of a staff between restoration, inferno, frost and lightning.
I"ve been reflecting on this as I seem to be farming vet maelstrom in vain for two weeks now looking for a lightning staff, i've collected at least 4x of each of the other elements without seeing 1 lightning yet. Similiar to trying to farm an Inferno Burning spell weave staff that seems to share an existence like a mythical unicorn.

Too good of an idea for them to implement. They only nerf and add things to increase sales. Maybe they will offer your idea on the crown store soon.

I'd like to see something similar, the transmutation/combination of craftable sets that could provide a new 5 set bonus. As an example; a 5 set bonus that reworks your class synergies with a group buff or a new unique PVP ability.

Of course this should take time to research; a good and successful combination would see your crafting efforts rewarded, by either selling or using the newly created set.

It would probably require a new transmogrification system that fundamentally modified weapons of the same type (staves, 2H melee, 1H melee). I don't predict transmutation moving outside of gear traits.

I think it is more that if we are changing elements we are also changing weight of armor since it would be odd to only be able to change weapons.

Decide to run the content for something else. Seems you never get the items you want and get everything else instead. So if you can convince the game that you are wanting a different thing, you just might get the thing you really want.

I would be on board only if they allowed one change per piece of gear. I.E. You can change the element or the trait. Cannot change both. It would still require grinding to obtain at least one of the desired stats.

Staves can have their elements changed. Other weapons can be reduced in size from their 2h version to their 1h version, 1h swords can be reduced into daggers while bows and shields get nothing. But since bows and shields can't have a comparable change, then it wouldn't be fair and most likely wouldn't happen. Although, if they introduced crossbows and forearm worn bucklers (with reduced shielding but allowing for dual wielding and / or 2h use). Then definitely be all for it. Would even be willing to see it done with a separate station.

But, hey, either way. I'm flexible.

God i wish. farming magicka toons just became 1983019835018359x easier. But once you do it for one spec people are going to wonder why you can't 'transmog' axes to daggers or greatswords to mauls or any other variation.

Easier fix would be to just let us accumulate vma token and spend them on what we want.

Over 100 runs and no bow. Utterly stupid.

You should do it my way, I bought 6000 key fragments, went into dungeon with my friends that needed the set too, and I used every single key. Each of us had full set of jewelry and lightning + resto staff in SPC. 1 month later Summerset came out ...
