Asking again; allow pledge credit when joining group in partially finished dungeon.

I've asked for this in the past but it has been a while so I thought I would ask again. It would be nice if, with Dungeon Finder, if I end up in a group where they have completed part of the dungeon that I could at least get enough credit to be able to turn in a pledge. Otherwise, we end up helping the group through all the drama to finish the dungeon then have to turn around and queue again. Thank you.

Final boss, like in dlc dungeons, shoul be enough.

If you can’t finish the pledge with where the group is at (and want to finish it) ... politely leave the group and let them know why.

There’s too much room for exploit with your idea ... even though it seems well-intended.

Pledges for the later DLC (dragon bones and beyond) follow this format, the only objective is to complete the dungeon. The current state is awkward unless it's so easy that you can complete down a person, or you get someone who was just doing a random so dropping in halfway is fine.

I would agree to someone getting full credit for a pledge when they join an in progress group and clears the dungeon with them if an only if we cannot invite others directly to the group.

In other words, if someone drops or gets kicked they can only be replaced vai GF randomness for any group formed via GF. Otherwise the idea suggests is ripe for abuse.

What would solve this issue is if we had a toggle to prevent consideration of in-progress groups. If we could toggle that off then we would never have to worry about what OP is talking about.

Note that if you join in late on a vet dungeon run and complete the final boss in hm, you can do the other bosses required for the pledge in normal and still get full credit. Some of the dungeons are fairly easy to solo normal.

Only give if new member join by finder not an invite. This way you can not kick random and invite friend but the real healer who replace fake by finder get his pledge.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

I love it when you finally queue up to a portal in your face and then you get punished for 12 minutes for wanting to complete the quest properly.

I'm torn on this. We already have a minor but obvious problem with people getting kicked at the last boss so a friend can join to get the helmet. Do we really want to encourage this to get a pledge completion, with keys?

It can be annoying to miss one boss if you join in group finder after a group fell apart. But I'll take the option of running it twice over the other. But in reality, the way the pledges are written, you have to defeat the bosses they require.

The value of completing a pledge is minuscule compared to the value of getting a monster helm.

I think it should be consistently the last boss just like all the DLC dungeons.

I've had to drop group a couple of times because I only needed the first dungeon quest boss.

    It's an annoying system.

How about we remove the ability to kick at the final boss. If you put up with someone that far you must keep them for the last boss or disband! Kicking people to "Add a Friend" for the helm should not be allowed.

My experience is that most of the time it's people leaving in frustration or from lack of time because of a poorly performing group.

This would be abused. Kicking of one player for another just before the big payoff.

If you join a group that has already killed at least on of the objectives of the pledge and you stay then you get what ever you earn after you join. Even if that means you do not complete the pledge and have to re-Que.

It should automatically give pledges when entering a dungeon if said requirements are met

If you kill the final boss in vet HM difficulty but not the remaining ones you can que for normal and kill them all it'll still count towards 2 keys ^_^

As someone else mentioned, there should be an option when queuing up to not join a group that's already in progress.

I was about to wholeheartedly agree until I remembered the time I got glitched on Drodda in Direfrost Keep and could not break free no matter how much stamina I had. Because of that, there was no way the group could beat her so I got booted. Had no issue with it. In fact, I asked for it in chat so I didn't get the time penalty.

So there are legit times to boot at the last boss. I just don't think its a good idea to give more incentive to do so for illegitimate reasons

Is there rampant abuse of this happening in Fang Lair, Scalecaller, and the rest of the DLC dungeons already set up like this?

These helmets must be harder to get for the types that want to kick and bring a friend. They also run the risk of failing because they kicked someone better than their pal. Who is so bad that they need to wait until the end to substitute in? Is is because their own friends can't deal with how pathetic they are and make them wait until the last possible moment?

I hate deleting a pledge with the end boss checked off, pick up a new one, and repeat the process. Randoms that give you incomplete pledges at least have the rewards. A specific que takes longer, then even longer if you have to follow up on normal or re-do the dungeon to check the mini bosses off.

I would love to see specific que not include groups in progress if a toggle wasn't something they could develop.
