Regarding the PC EU Server Upgrades

I am getting the following Error Messages after trying to switch characters tonight.

- Error 301
- Error 304
- Unable to connect to the server. Please make sure you have a valid internet connection
- Login time out
- Unable to login
- ...

Sometimes I get past these Error Messages and into the game. But this has happened several times tonight and other people experience the same.
Seems like the old "pre-upgrade" issues are back @ZOS_GinaBruno

It seems likely indeed! Just some other way of controlling how many people login.

They never stated there would be any upgrades. Only implementing more capacity, i.e. more of the same.

If you read @ZOS_MattFiror OP he clearly states hardware upgrades. Bolded part suggests hardware upgrade.

Longer term: we are spinning up additional hardware in both our NA and EU datacenters in order to support our growing user base. We expect the time frame for this to be about two weeks, but we will keep you posted. And yes, we are adding more capacity to PC NA as well as EU because we are rapidly approaching the same problem in NA and want to get ahead of it. We will also be looking very closely at our Console megaservers to make sure they have enough capacity.

They increased the server count, so its more shards in zones and probably spare servers to handle instances, everything from housing to trials, no performance increase outside of not getting on overloaded server like one HRC trial there lag was so bad first trash refused to load for 2 minutes

Bolded parts mean more hardware. Nowhere does it say the "additional hardware" would be an upgrade. It was solely to expand capacity.

I sorely hope they are increasing the servers capacity to do calculations and what not. The game is unbearable during prime time.

Last night I got stuck in loading screen loop and character load while I was leading a raid. We had to disband because I wasn't able to get in ><.

Databases? So I take it zeni hosts the games core then distributes it over the CDN, creating hosts servers thoughout the network, it is more efficient, makes me think the overall networking design of the client needs improved instead of a server/cdn issue or its distributed host software has issues with keeping in sync. Would explain the random load screens the servers is disagreement about the state of the gameworld, cant be dynamic layering since nothing but player/odjects move, hense why you get it in cryo, explains why clients fail, the servers fight over what actually is going on, and sends rapid request that have opposite outputs,making game clients unable to process data and just logging out.

Of course not, they know that whatever was done was not enough and now just keep quiet and pretend everything is fine. Great way to just show us the middle finger, treating us like idiots.
This is what makes me so mad, they didn't bother to say anything after the suposed "upgrade". Disgusting!

The server is still terrible tbh. Not saying bad, it's legit terrible. Y'all know what happens when you click on Guild Store right?

They prolly just added another 4gb of ddr 2 ram fml. That's what they call an upgrade.

As you can read in those links, one of the meanings of upgrade is also to add hardware to improve performances.

They talk about things outside the game such as login systems so... Don't get your hopes too high.
I wish they would be more clear with their communications, I always get the feeling their words are picked carefully and are somewhat deceiving.
