[PC] Cannot use skills while sprinting....

I though this was fixed, i haven`t played with M and K for a while ... i prefer my PS4 controller, so is this issue happening to everyone or is it just me ?
The skill bar is grayed out when sprinting, i dont`t have this problem when using the Gamepad UI

This is correct. It is intended you cannot use skills while sprinting. It takes a lot of effort to sprint. It has been this way since launch and is not broken.

If you are able to sprint and use skills when using a gamepad then I suggest uploading a video so Zos can see it. It is something they will need to fix. @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_BillE this is something that might be worth a quick check as it would provide an unfair advantage to someone using a gamepad on PC if this is true. Would lead to more using gamepads to work around the intended design.1

On console, at least the Xbox, there is a loading screen tip that tells you that you will slow down to normal run speed if you use a skill while sprinting. To gray out the skillbar while sprinting on PC seems ridiculous.

You should be able to use a skill while sprinting, but it is supposed to pull you out of sprint as soon as you do, not stop you from using them entirely. At least that's how it works on console. Same as using a skill while mounted, it dismounts you and then the skill fires. If the skill is grayed out are you sure it's not just a skill that needs a target? Or perhaps it's a stam skill and you used all your stam sprinting?

If I recall, there's a loading screen tip on PC that says you can't use skills while sprinting. Either way, it has ALWAYS worked like this on PC. Looks like it works a little differently between PC and Console.

I am 1000% sure it is a bug from a year or so..
@FENGRUSH @Alcast can confirm this, it has not been like that from launch. People were able to use skills while sprinting,,,

yea its annoying. that and how your horse stop springting when you fall down and won't re-start sprinting unless you stop to press your sprint key and re-aply it a second later.

If you re-apply too fast it just does not works.

Not on pc they weren't. Maybe they were running really fast (major expedition, swift etc.).
Or maybe they just cast the skills immediately after exiting sprint.

I play on PC.

On mouse+keyboard mode u need to stop sprint to use skill. If u try to use skill during sprint u will keep sprint and skill wont proc.

On gamepad mode when u use skill during sprint, skill will proc and ur toon will automaticly slow down from sprint to normal run speed. To sprint again u need to push again button for sprint.

As someone who’s been playing as long as those two have, I can confirm that it has been this way since launch. There was one beta weekend that I remember being able to sprint and cast, but not since launch. It even says so on one of the OG load screen messages.

Can't count how many times I died because game was thinking that I'm sprinting and so I was not able to gulp the potion though I already released sprint button second ago...

I've been playing since launch weekend (April 4, 2014). It's been that way the entire time. Without using something like cheat engine (and even that shouldn't work for something like this since they moved so many more things server-side), it's never been possible to use skills while sprinting. Possibly it could be done during the beta, but not since launch.

But I'm telling you... Look below your Stam bar, you'll see a tiny bar representative of horses Stam. That's the one that locks your Sprint until it goes a little bit up. Not calling you stupid, merely pointing out something that lots of people don't know, since you can Sprint infinitely with mounts... But they still use and run out of Stam.

With the gamepad you can actually use skills but not while sprinting, if you press a skill you simply slow down to normal speed and to sprint again you need to click again on the sprint button.
You can also roll doge while mounted to quick dismount and avoid a potential incoming attack, and this honestly is something that i miss from the gamepad.

I believe that one doesn't include sprinting, just regular run speed, with any buffs applied. Never tested myself though, I don't use that skill all that much.

Been playing since closed beta, as far as I remember you've never been able to sprint and use skills at the same time on PC, whether on foot or mounted.
