What platform/server are you on? I would be happy to throw you a guild invite!

I am playing on PC on the European servers.

I would gladly join a guild, but I have been through this 3 or 4 years ago, when it was virtually impossible for a 'filthy causal' to find one.

I'm not on the EU server, but over here on the NA one you can hang out in most major cities and watch your chat for guilds advertising for members. You probably want to look for a social guild and avoid end-game related ones (like a Trial or PvP guild). There are even RP guilds. And the best thing is if you join a guild and don't like it after a while you can just quit the guild and find another.

In regards to your CP, did you focus on CP that either (a) buff your damage output, or (b) reduce the damage you take? There is enough fluff in the CP trees that if you spend points on the "wrong" stuff (at first) then you are hurting your ability to do things.

I'd recommend taking your tank and running vet FG1, picking up all the gear and weapons that drop and transferring them to your character so you get quick 160cp gear items and purple weapons

People are bending over backwards to help this person and probably wasting their time. A lot of OP’s responses are basically, “I’m sorry, I don’t even understand what you’re saying.” Where he does understand, the response is basically, “I’m sorry, I’m not willing to do that.”

To the first: try things. You don’t understand guild traders? Just go to one and try navigating it. How do you think we learned this stuff?

As to the second, the unwillingness to do anything for yourself is related to the first issue. In fact, it seems related to the overall issue of being underpowered for even delves and solo questing. Some effort is involved in any rpg or mmo, that is what makes them rewarding.

    Alright,
I had written a very long post which I think does not tackle it.

    Thanks to everyone answering here.

Special thanks to those, who wrote a PM regarding a guild invite I will answer that.

    Best regards.

Alot of people here have good suggestions and it seems that the op understands abit of the conundrum he has right now.

I'm offering my help too, if you are in pc na, just send a mail to @RavenSworn and I'll see if there is anything I can help out. I have a casual guild as well, with a few others that I can introduce to help out with levelling and just general shenanigans.

Keep on rocking that nb tank, there's a lot of ways to make it work. It's the beauty of the game.

Ultimately, the simplest advice is as follows. If you are really feeling like you cant play your stamblade, cobble together some light armor and a destro staff, and make your Nightblade magic for a bit. Use Sap essence, elemental blockade, and refreshing path. Eat some anniversary cake and an XP scroll. Kill Zombies until you hit 160. Then go on about your day.

Option 2, get Vigor no your NB, keep it stamina, Run Endless hail and steel tornado, and again, get XP boosts and kill zombies. You will be at CP 160 so freaking fast, especially during the event.

I am generally not a fan of telling people to grind. Truth be told, if built and played well, you shouldnt have trouble on any class questing between 50 and CP160, but of course, that is easy for someone with lots of CP and 15 toons to say.

We have this weird power gap which is a result of an old veteran rank system and their current attempt to battle level low level toons. If it were up to me, things would all scale to level 50, and they would eliminate all gear between CP 1 and 160 and just call everything champion gear. But alas, it is not up to me. Which essentially leaves your options as L2P or spend a few hours grinding.

IMO, magic NBs are the undisputed best grinders. One trick is to slot sole harvest on your front bar and veil of blades on your back bar. You will build ultimate so fast that you can basically drop veils on top of one another. Keep up siphoning strikes (sustain) and relentless focus (damage), and make sure to weave your sap essence (procs siphoning strikes). If you do that while standing in a refreshing path (more heal), elemental blockade (aoe damage) and an endless stream of veils (aoe damage and major protection), you will be able to handle 20+ zombies at a time with no issue.

Go on blackrock island (ebonpact staring area) and farm nods and chest. Salvage mats then you should earn 15k to 20k an houre easely just selling the legendary stuff and a couple more thousands of gold from the normal mats and green, blue armor and maps.

Spend the money on new gear.

    Hello @lorgarnb16_ESO,

I am also playing on the EU server. If you need help, add me as a friend @Caimie. We can farm dolmens together for gear. I can craft you some food and maybe help you with some starting gear. I have some generic gear sets in the bank for when I finally reach level 50 with my other characters (which is a long shot because I always get hooked on my main).

    Greetings!

I have tried to find if someone else has the problem but so far I did not find anything. This is what happened.

I am a causal player. I hop on and off to the game, as everybody's fixation on the endgame is turning me down. I would like to find others to play along the landscapes, delves and public dungeons and (god forbid) roleplay, but people are not interested in that any more. I have been through this in several guilds, without finding one to suite my play style so I mostly play solo.

My first character is a tank, which can do most things on his own, although he takes ages to defeat most elite level enemies. I decided to try a different kind of game mechanism and rolled for a stamina nightblade, initially having huge problems as on how to survive playing that 'glass cannon', but after developing some key abilities and working around my load out things went fine....

Well until i reached lv 50 with the second character. Now the game scales everything on the CP level of my first character, all my gear is worthless and even with crafting I can not compensate. I can not survive most elite enemies any more, I cant do delves and most quests now pose a problem. So instead of getting a level up, my character now feels completely under powered.

How does one overcome that level and equipment gap? It feels like i have to do a huge grind now, just to get my character back to a kind of standard, which he already had and lost by leveling up, in fact, I feel punished for leveling up.

    Any advice on this?

    Best regards.

Be sure youre using item sets and abilities that max out your dps. minimum health for a dps should be around 16-17k health in my opinion. you can use your tank to get gear and sets for your dps so it can get the equipment to preform at your cp. I wouldn't grind for gear until your 160 cp. Do undaunted quests to save up keys, grind cp at dolmens.

You can buy a full set of purple gear pretty cheap from guild traders, just pop to mournhold etc and buy some very cheap sets that will perform fine for what content you play to do.

First thing. There are many RP guilds. You just need to ask in the guild section of the forums
Secondly, look at Sherman's Gaming youtube for solo builds. His builds are good enough to do all content solo including normal dungeons, and DLC world bosses.
All of them can work as tank in dungeons also but not HM vet DLC ones.

Nobody is fixated for end game. There is no end game my friend as the whole game is end game.
I rarely doing 1 trial per week, even with the event running. Usually I help guild mates do stuff.

The gear you've been wearing isn't End Game gear...it was gear to get you to level 50. You're supposed to replace it as soon as you can. Were you under the impression that you would wear the same set of gear forever, and that slowly earning more CP's over time is how you would actually progress the combat capabilities of your toons?

We exist, and we're around. Like you, we play mostly solo, so we're largely invisible. Quite possibly an invisible majority, but we don't really have any data on this. In any case, know you aren't alone. The new guild finder will make it easier to create and find guilds for various interest areas, and I might be creating a guild for story/lore/RP driven folks once it releases myself.

Yeah, this was a problem that was introduced with One Tamriel. When I first started playing, there wasn't any universal scaling so the progression of your character felt a lot more intuitive and natural. The effect can be pretty extreme, as you noticed. You won't have to grind, though. If you go around and collect the materials to create some crafted gear sets, it's not too tough to find a crafter to make you level-appropriate armors and weapons. If you're on XBOX NA I'd be happy to throw something together for you or help you come up with creative combinations for character-driven gameplay. It's kind of my thing. :)

(It's probably best to send me a PM if interested; I might not remember to check this thread again)

Press P > random normal dungeon > wait 15-20 mins to get into a dungeon > get carried because you're probably doing 2K dps > get gear > repeat until your gear isn't awful > with proper leveled gear, go to overland and farm for sets (bangkorai, wrothgar, auridon, stonefalls are all good options)

i need to make you aware of this, and it's a cold hard truth most players aren't willing to accept; having better gear and stats isn't going to magically allow you to handle all the content in the game.

If you're struggling this much with standard solo content, I can only assume it's an issue with your execution/rotation. Working on improving your reaction, weaving, choice of skills and how you use them etc is going to have a much larger impact on your performance than anything else.

I think the OP has left, but if someone else is in the same boat (1st char over 160, 2nd char levels to 50 and suddenly has completely garbage gear) then you have to have your 1st char step up and farm gear for the 2nd, or get a guildmate to craft some up for you, or be a crafter to craft your own.

Fortunately, I understood that my 2nd and 3rd toons would go from level 49 to cp 160+ in an instant, and I had crafted and farmed gear already standing by for them, so as soon as they levelled they could swap to the new equipment.
Taking stealth away from the Bosmer is like taking magic away from the Altmer, making Nords allergic to mead, or making Orcs pretty.
