PvP Build Advice

Good morning all ! So I’ve been doing the PvP thing since the start with my main PVE for AP and leveling toons for Vigor and Caltrops. But after last weeks door gankers , I decided to put together a build with a toon and stuff I had sitting around. Which is the following

Magplar- 2xShadowrend 5x Bright Throat ( all body) 5xPariah

Went back in and could tell a diff damage wise still a little Squishy.

But I would like to thank the fellow PvPers that I joined to purge the gankers. To the camping Emp thank you for the killing achievement and your buddies for the grand overlord achievement. Lesson to PVE players get decent set up and you will have an easier time in Cyro

So looking for advice on any tweaks to build or any set swap outs.

I'm playing around with some Bone Pirate's and Ravagers and still feel a little squishy but I'm doing better. There are suggestions out there about Dragr Hulk and I've been trying to group up for Direfrost Keep to get pieces but it's been hard with the even going on right now. Would like Bone Pirate jewelry but that stuff isn't dropping for me. I'm a patchwork.

Interesting, I have a whole set of body hulking , think bone pirate body also. I’ll have to check my mules

On my magplar i’m running Vampire Cloak set it’s a dmg reduction set, makes you pretty tanky. You can combine it with any good dmg set, spinners for example and for Valkyn for monster set.

Vampire's Cloak gives you the same buff that you get while casting jabs or simply having Temporal Guard slotted. You'd be much better off with something like Buffer of the Swift.

Pariah is good, I think you’ve made good gear choices except for your monster set. Try blood spawn or pirate skeleton instead.

Another important thing, vampire for mist form helps a ton. Might not want to go vampire though, as soon as the Els hits you can use race against time which will help A TON, it’s better than mist form.

Do you use the character builder? Sometimes people make simple mistakes so posting the entire build can be beneficial.

Like for example you said you went 5 bright throat all body? Best to use Pariah chest, medium monster helm, light in all other armour slots.

If you’re still feeling squishy transmute a jewellery piece to protective. I personally run two with Breton.

Block or roll combos. Get good at that and you can go for more damage. Mor damage leads to more pressure, more pressure means less defensive windows, less defense means more executing you're game plan.

Unless your game plan is to heavy attack and spam honor the dead while wearing hist sap, heavy armor, and waiting for soul assault to come up. Don't do that.

In PVE I’m always in 7/6 medium and rotate in and out w range depending on my rotation. So I’m not looking to just stand still and spam heavy
