Returning Player - Pre loot crates

Returning player.

I stopped playing just after the loot crates came out (not because of this but I was getting a bit bored playing solo on my PS4)

I got to champion levels but was never that great and only did PVE. I signed up to the subs so I could get the craft bag and all the DLC’s but again it was getting a bit grindy trying to craft the better armour. (I’ll probably do the same subscription if it still exists)

Ive since bought an Xbone X and a 4K tv fancy having another go but have just realised Im gonna have to start from scratch as my account wont transfer ☹

For those that have been here since before loot crates, is there anything major that’s changed? As im starting again is there any shift in character classes? I normally play magical characters but this time I fancy playing either a ranger type or a the biggest tank I can.

Just wait for necro to come out and start levelling that. It seems to be the way to go, because necro is awesome.

There is no such thing as a ranger in ESO. In pvp they were nerfed and are continuing to be nerfed into the grave. In pve the skills and such are terrible.

-Still no real tangible content since morrowind.
-Cyrodiil is a joke
-And zero to very little oceanic community

If i had my choice again, id never of bothered coming back to eso (thieves guild) when i did. Even less reason to come back now, elsweyr look like its going to be garbage.

It's really a completely different game than it was pre-crates. Everything is 10x easier from earning gold to harvesting to killing. It's a very bland experience.

RMT has been legitimized as players can trade Crowns to other players for gold.

Instead of becoming the great MMO it was supposed to be, ESO has become Skyrim Nexus Online. The Crown Store is central to the game and is actually what drives development so they can fit more things in to sell for cash.

Its not. Its the best MMO on the market by a country mile.

Go with the tank. They gutted Bosmer racials so that they are neither rangery nor thiefy anymore.

To much to say but really embraced play as you want gameplay vision...minus bosmer mistake they are doing well.
