templar jabs against "larger" hit boxes

so I have noticed next thing which is very bad in jabs
maybe it have 8 meter of range but in compare to melee skills with 5m range against bosses with larger hit box this is worse

I have noticed it on 1st boss in HRC yesterday
at 30% boss have phase to whirlwind and kill everything around him but very close to his border of aoe you still can damage with 5m abilities
(around 1 meter range from this bordeline to be still in range of hitting him with 5m range abilities) so you can skill damage to boss without wasting time of dps for this mechanic if you are enough aware because of how big hit box have this boss

and here with same mechanic, same hit bos we are oing with 8m range jabs
big aoe phase around boss and what? cant damage with jabs, then dont see this increased hit boss of boss for normal melee abilities
I still can damage to himw ith my light attacks, havy attacks and every other 5m range ability which I have like randing slashes etc but with jabs I barely can
when I literally stay on borderline of aoe to not get hit sometimes my jabs hit boss, sometimes no when I and boss dont move

so this was my point of view how jabs additionaly are worse than anything else on melee build in some cases like with boses which have specially increased hit box to hit them but for jabs this dont work making jabs even worse
