What class should I use to make a Emp Run?

To clarify; I PVP for lulz. I build my characters extremely ugly, named rather annoying things, but I do enjoy doing it, and I've gotten decent at it. I apologize for the jumble of info ahead.

(PC NA)
I'm deciding on which character I would want to take into Cyro for an under 50 (Kyne) emp run, and my setup for it.

My best played characters thus far in any sort of PVP have been stam and mag sorc, and magwarden.

As a magsorc: (First PVP, test build) I played kyne, and battlegrounds extensively. I performed very well. (although, under 50s arent a huge show of skill, but when you do 30+ kills, 1-2 deaths. Meh) I was able to reach (Or at least logged out as) 4th highest score in the EP for Kyne last week. My problem: I hated using twilight for a heal. it was more readily available than burst heals. But the slots were too much room on both bars. Negating NPCS/players were also annoying. Especially in close quarters outposts/etc. But otherwise, easy 1vX idea.

Stamsorc: (Used one PVP build, battlegrounds only at that point) The lad was an absolute beast. He still holds my best BG record yet. (38-0)(Yes, I have screenshots.). I absolutely loved playing this build, but I'm not sure how well it'll hold up in AvA verse something like my magsorc.

Magwarden: What can I say? Ice... Permafrost.. heals? Very good performance in BG.

As for gear; I typically craft gear for under 50s. Mag toons usually in Julianos/Iniate Axiom with a random 2pc. (Been using Willows path for extra mag recov)

Stamina is usually: Shackle/Hundings Hundings/Sloads usually with 2pc of Gladiator, for extra crit.

i am mostly a 7-8 trait crafter, and have a 9 trait friend available if they were needed.

i do understand that AvA is also more of a "who plays the longest" type of thing score-wise (I placed 4th, mostly going in solo, joining randoms, and running around for a few hours for a few days)

But, I want to know. What classes would you recommend, gear, ETC. Or are my ideas good enough to survive more AvA than I'm giving them credit for? I played a lot more BGs than Cyro, so I'm trying to revamp my builds for max efficiency in Cyro.

I hear if you run with smaller groups warden is very good.
Playing your character the way your character should play is all that matters. Play as well as you can but never betray the character. Doing so would make playing an mmoRPG pointless.

I found it nice, but with the constant ice, snare/cc was pretty easy to lock people into permafrost. My issue is I felt more targeted playing the Magwarden than the Magsorc.

Magplar - Easiest class for emp push imo.

In my opinion the class doesn't really matter. The group you run with is way more important.

.....so I'm trying to revamp my builds for max efficiency in Cyro.

I've only done this once - so may not be the best font of knowledge - but here goes:
    1. For magica I'd go with Julianosx5/Song of Lamaex4/Elegance Jewelryx3 - better resistances
    2. Heavy all the way - 5/1/1
    3. At least Impenx6
    4. Restro back bar - spam that Mutagen in groups
    5. Start at lvl20 and have lvls 30 and 40 gear/food/pots in your bank ready to switch
    6. Plan your time - from campaign reset you must spend 20 out of 24 hours playing. Took me 3 days. It's not just being top of the leaderboard, you need to get players in your group for keeps. Resources can be solo but not keeps.
    7. Have at least 100k gold - repair every wall and door in sight. Stock up on sieges/camps/etc
    8. Kill a delve boss regularly
    9. Do all the board quests
    10. Which alliance matters. I've played all - and worked hard for whichever one I'm in - but suggest not DC. Maybe others would like to add to this?

Killing players gives AP, but there is alot more needed for an Emp run.

I played one. It felt fun, but I am not much of a templar player compared to other classes.

I played a 5 light, 2 heavy magsorc when I placed 4th. It was pretty easy to 1vX, but better resists would always be appreciated

I did use impen on all, resto back bar with mutagen is something I forgot to recraft later into my build. Gear is already taken care of on that.

Kyne isn't as punishing. In 3 days during the event, I played maybe 8 hours a day, doing quests, open PVP, siege/defending keeps in groups, to place 4th. Maybe I was lucky, but most days, i'd score 100-150 kills per day. (Event helped, I took towns out of spite of all the crying.)

Gold.. I have over 2m, but I rather just use AP as I have over 2m, and a bunch of equip left over from my magsorc before he went bye-bye.

Alliance.. DC was very, very passive, but ran in large zergs.. EP, aggressive, sometimes pretty disfunctional, but groups were easy to find. AD.. all I saw was zergs.. Even 40-50 people in a group just running around. I prefer playing EP, and didn't have any trouble scoring with that.

I dont see any valid answer in this Thread yet.

So here it is plain and simple:
The easiest way to get kyne emp and the most fun build to play is Stamina warden 2h/dualwield with Mechanical and hunding/alchemist/spriggans whatever of these you have. If you get a friend to guard tank you, you can easy 2v25

There is no kyne emp build even close to that.

I play Kyne as my PVP campaign of choice...….. although on EU not NA

Imo it totally depends on the amount of time you can devote to your Emp run, yes some classes are easier than others but without effort I can top 10 easily....

Top 5 is harder, takes more available play hours, I usually play solo, typically with a ranged magicka set up, I jump in between lvl 15-20...….. those early levels are totally devoted to skyshard collection.

I change my armour every four levels, weapons every two...… all pieces including jewellery are purple(I have so many sets stored :p)

I use crafted sets and now you can make jewellery it's so much more flexible as to what sets I use.

As others mentioned, repair everything.... as a mag user I always have a powered resto staff equipped for repairing..... those extra few points can add up!

I think enjoying your character is the best way to success ……. make something you like to play! :)
    When people say to me........
"You're going to regret that in the morning"
I sleep until midday cos I'm a problem solver!

    Class won´t matter.

And you don´t need a group, I´ve done it solo. NO WAY AM I PUTTING MYSELF THROUGH THAT AGAIN. ARE YOU LISTENING, MYSELF!??

The reason class, race, etc, doesn´t matter that much is that you will level up quickly, you will still not have access to the late-level skills at first though, also... it just doesnt matter that much. Use whatever you feel is a fun class, because trust me you will be playing a lot.

You need to KNOW your class at lower levels though. I did it with a DK bow user, which has some amazing advantages.

Here´s my down and dirty quick guide to Kyne emp:

    1. Prepare character by levelling up pony riding, relevant weapon skill, etc. In my experience you will only be able to main one weapon, go 2H or bow, or staff I guess if magicka. With stamina (I only have stamina at 1-50 atm) I would either main 2H with bow as backbar, or vice versa. Depends a bit on how you have major brutality access.

    2. Stockpile gear and consumables. I used a stamina character with hundings + twice-born and agility. Some purp, some gold weapons, else purple gear with 1 crafted blue jewelry piece. I had new equipment ready for every 4 levels, starting at 20 I think.

    3. Have cash. Have a warehouse filled with repair kits.

    4. I didn´t really use addons, but there are some that are useful.

    5. Clear your schedule. I did it while working part time and on my own schedule, so I could take a few days off to play constantly on campaign reset. And I do mean I played constantly. Play, eat, coffee, few hours sleep, repeat.

    Playing:

Do quests if you want to.

Level as slowly as you can - don´t attack stuff randomly, don´t be in a group that aggros resource guards, for example, if you can help it.

Have a quick and simple way to solo keep resources. This is class-specific.

    Repair stuff, heal people.

What you do depends on time of day / night. Cap resources when there aren´t people around to take keeps. I guess they will change it, but ATM you can cap districts in IC as well. Kill people, you don´t need a reason. No mercy for anyone. Repair anything that isn´t shipshape.

Don´t be a [male / female genitalia] to other people.

Realise that people are in the campaign for all sorts of reasons, and most people will probably not be supporting you unless you do it with a guild. Some (e.g. people from 'a certain french guild') might even actively work against you.

I got emp with a nightcap, there didn´t seem to be more than like 5 people in each alliance :D

If you realise you won´t get emperor, stop the campaign and try again on reset with the same character, now with some AvA skills levelled.

This is how to do it solo.

If you have a guild, I guess do it through online social climbing, make friends, suck up to people, bribe them, get people to cap all keeps with you in a single session. I can´t stand this personally, just preference.

Emp run? every class every play stile is ok... you need just a loooooot of time and a small group to pvdoor by night, last advice, every time you get in cyro be shure to have the dungeon boss AP bonus, chose the fastes delve near your home base and do it every hour ( 20% more AP if i remember right)

I don't think it matters which class. I would go for emp on your main character, or the character you plan on taking to AW level 50.

If you want a friend, get a dog.
AW Rank: Grand Warlord 1 ( level 49)

I watch my stats pretty closely, and I was changing armor/weapons both around every 10 levels. It hurts stamina characters a little more than mag characters, but I figured every 2-5 levels was a bit overkill.

Leveling slow is a bit meh. Playing as my magsorc, with no XP buffs or whatnot, i took him into kyne at level 40, returned at level 48. If there hadnt been roughly a 400k point gap between the current EMP and I, I might have pushed it with the last 24 hours in that campaign

Gear is done, although i should look into clever alc. I typically play a no-mercy type of playstyle, and if I'm not running solo, I'm in a group, or leading one. In my last Kyne run I'd like to say I became a sudden 'Warlord'. Magsorc sucked for capping resources in kyne. Sometimes it'd work perfectly, other times you'd be dead in seconds, doing nothing differently. And yay! negate!

The reason I say is evaluating the options of what i could do as a PVP build.

    Magsorc was good all around.

Stamwarden is very good burst/fair tankiness.

Stamsorc was high burst, pretty decent regens, but my build wasn't built for range. Just melee, which it was an absolute powerhouse.

Emperor is declared when a faction holds the 6 inner keeps, and then the #1 player on the emperor leaderboard will become emp. There is no set time when that 'crowning' will occur.
