Problem is, none of us is sure what the topic is about???
Considering Trans people and "allies" are just as capable of playing video games as everybody else, I'm not going to join into the crowd of people congratulating you for that aspect. Good job beating the trial, but your identity has nothing to do with it and nobody should care.
I'm not sure you stuck those things in for some "social justice points" but you could have made this entire thread without mentioning the utterly irrelevant gender status of the people involved. The fact people are congratulating that only means they think trans people are somehow less capable to begin with - and incredibly negative notion.
Adding "allies" REALLY makes it even more pointless to mention, because for all we know that's just a group of 12 straight male allies lol..... considering allies can be anybody of any demographic.
I think we could have all focused on your achievement had you not junked it up with completely irrelevant information.

OP, are you saying transgendered people have a mental disorder? The guild going as Mentally Challenged beats Hodor and gets the world record in veteran Halls of Fabrication!!!
Showing that gamers with dealing with serious mental illness also can compete with the best in the world. Doing the entire trial including HM in 23 minutes and 22 seconds!!
Congrats to everyone in the group whom have been working on this for months!!!!

I agree with you.

The bold is myopic and wrong. People are congratulating others who are nominally to never acknowledged in our hobby (gaming). We used to do this with “gamer girls” before they became mainstream on Twitch. It’s not an unwitting pardon for said persons being substandard. That you would assume otherwise actually attaches a value judgment to your words.
I agree that the OP’s post was hamfisted in its execution, but the premise is sound.

I don't get it. Why should they be acknowledged in our hobby? White people aren't specifically glorified because they have fast thumbs, nor are black people or jews descended from ww2 camp survivors. What about this particular group makes their state of being so fundamentally different to the degree that congrats are necessary for their achievement under the circumstances? I say congrats for the achievement. And nothing else. There is nothing else special and no reason to call it out. I think the base assumption should be that we're all equal and equally capable of achievement - this post seems to suggest that isn't the case but instead that it's very wild to imagine a transgender with fast thumbs, which is ridiculous and discriminatory at the core.

You know, in a male dominated environment, sometimes gays or transgendered people get treated like sissies or less than equals. It probably just felt good to say, hey, our small demographic did a thing!

Its because it is touching a very sensative topic which the majority of the Human Races disageers on and Science has yet to prove that it is true.
Other than that, welcome to the General Forums where the ZoS Moderators hand pick stuff out and put a warning on your account.
