Does Ice Staff increase physical and spell resistance?

Playing around with back bar staves on my tank I notice a 1500 spell/physical resistance increase when I swap from restro to ice staff.
Both are gold, Ice staff has crusher enchant and restro has absorb stamina enchant.
I can't see any info in the tool tips about resistance.
