Buying Crown store items with gold - A few questions.

I believe ZOS is OK with this and i want to buy a name/race change with my in game gold. im just looking for some clarifications on a few things..

Is this within the rules - How do i ensure the person will gift me what i asked for and like wise how do they ensure i'll send them the gold?

Is it just a case of trust or is there a way i'm missing something and will ZOS be able to do anything about it if i were to have screen shots as proof ?

You can't be sure. However, if you stick to places like Tamriel Crown Exchange (this is their PCEU Discord: https://discord.gg/mpevGgE), you're likely to find reputable sellers.

They have made situations right for some folks who have been fleeced, but I haven't experienced it personally.

If you are on Xbox NA You could also join one of the sauce family of trading guilds like Apple Sauce or Haute Sauce (there are a bunch of them with different dues levels). They have a "guaranteed crown seller" program where only certain guild members can exchange crown store items for gold. If either party gets ripped off, the guild will make it right and the offender gets banned from the guild.

I used the Tamriel Crown Exchange earlier. they were excellent the whole thing felt quite safe, lots of info on their discord.

Quick rule of thumb to remember: Confirm the terms of the exchange using in-game text chat. Screenshot that. If something goes wrong, you can provide that to customer support and they can vet it.

Do not confirm it exclusively using voice comms (such as Discord) or external communications. ZOS cannot see that, and may not be willing to help you if something goes wrong in the process.
