require minimum effort to perform, since unlike other games the cost of casting an AoE ability is low in relation with the impact and/or absence of cooldown

I think that we should remove from PvP all AoE:
Dmg
Heal
Debuff
CC
Gear proc
except for Ultimates and Ground AoE DoT

No more mindless ballgroups.

Im sure that people will jump in saying "but my fav ability,item etc etc works with AoE. I dont like what you are saying"

Well... the game isnt in a very healthy spot atm

    Ball groups in Eso will never end. Ever.
    There will never be skilled mass PvP situations.
    Just crown stacking AoE trains.

    Are you saying that you like the easy at which you use abilities without targeting anything or reacting to anything?

    No, i am saying that i dont jump ever. On open fights it is annoying, because it is not about using skills or attacks/heals but about avoiding to be targetable.

    Ball groups dont jump. But with or without AoE they are a different animal. If you dont have your own ball group to split them you loose anyway. And less organized players really just have AoE to counter them. Usually they still loose because of the high damage and CC. On PTS we cant destroy towers anymore, we need something heavy to stop the resource tower insanity :)

    I played a game where the core gameplay was effectively destroyed for PVP balance purposes - Destiny - and I would hate to see that happen here.

    I don't play PVP super hardcore, but Cyrodil's experience offers something different that no other game offers. Seiging castles and keeps with your guild mates is a TON of fun and these kind of changes would almost annihilate the benefits of playing as a coordinated team. I don't think that would be a good thing for the game. Not only that, but it would seem to hurt players playing key roles such as healers running with a zerg, Sorcs laying down AOE damage and AOE stuns, etc.

    If you want small, concentrated battles, more 1v1's, etc., then that is what Battlegrounds and duels are for. If you don't like the chaos that comes with running with/fighting against big zergs, then perhaps you should focus your play on those areas instead?

    IMO, they should just keep it as is in Cyrodil. If you want more small-scale battles, then perhaps you should shift where you focus your play.

    ...but it's funny u mentioned BG coz if ur matched with a PREMADE group, that's effectively an unstoppable mini zerg....

    Yeah, can't say I'm a fan of the AOE buffs in general. It seems ZOS is trying to answer overhealing in PVP by increasing general AOE damage when in reality the problem is single target is so massively devalued that AOE damage is capable of putting out nearly as much damage in a single target application.

    Adding a 25% reduction to AOE Healing/Damage in battlespirit would go a long way.

    There is only 1 thing that can solve most if not all current PvP issues and problems:

    Nerf Purge. Make it a self cleanse or act like a templar one with synergy.

    Ezpz.

    No more lag or ball groups.

    1 ability which allows ball groups to exist.

    Well... the game isnt in a very healthy spot atm

    Most of the problems with PvP these days are due to the reward of the Zerg ball and faction stack playstyles. Until smaller scale, tactical fights are rewarded or something encouraged more than faction stacking things won't get better.

    That may be true, but it is still small scale and less chaotic than open world PVP in Cyrodil. I always thought that rather it being 4v4v4, BG's should just be 4v4. Or at least offer a mode that is 4v4. Things would get even less chaotic with one less team sharing the field. Just IMO.

    People forget that this isn't like an Arena-shooter game where tests of skill come down to ability to dodge shots and hit shots. The test of skill is in the build strength and if a class/build's strength is healing/AOE, then your essentially asking Zos to take a wrecking ball to a build that someone has spent some time to make - time grinding, researching, testing, however they came up with their build - all because someone else doesn't want to adapt. That's the kind of stuff that killed Destiny.

    I thought one of the reasons people hopped was because skills which slow you whilst casting have no effect whilst you're in the air, as well as being able to adjust camera angles without turning the character.

    Most of the problems with PvP nowadays are with people trying to turn large-scale battles between big groups, i.e. Cyrodiil, into something entirely different.
    And effing PvP nerfs bleeding out to PvE.
