Yellow Style Pages Nerfed?

We got a fair number of Prophets style pages and a smaller number for the crafting week. I have seen very few this week.

Did they overcompensate for them being too common in the past?

They've seriously cut the drops - I've given up this weeks 'event' after more than 30 daily's and no style pages.

Hmm. The prophet pages WERE the crafting week. This week is the Lyris pages, from delves and dungeons? I don't know, as I don't do whatever it is for this week and the next two.

So yeah. NO ONE needs prophet pages....

Sad. Reducing the likelihood is one thing. Nerfing them to the floor is another. No reason to bother with the PvP stuff for this rate of return.

Hopefully they regain some sanity by week 5.

Agreed. Some boxes have 1 item in them...

I'd even settle for more desecrated soil and random carrots.

For what its worth, here's my very non statistically significant stats on my drop rate.

    Week 1
    29 Prophet Pages/ 435 writs
    7% chance

    Week 2
    5 Lyris Pages/ 60 Dailies
    8% chance

So based on my very non statistically significant stats, I'd guess that they didn't nerf the drop rate. Rather, the much lower amount of dailies we can do creates the impression that we are doing a lot more work for a lot less reward.

Pretty sure it's the same drop rate as the prophets. You're either unlucky or you haven't done that many world boss and delve dailies

Crafting writs are easy and quick, of course the market is gonna saturated with them. I personally get 300 boxes per day from writs

There are way less people doing the world boss dailies and probably a lot less of then too. They also take longer.

These factors play into how little lyrics pages there are and how expensive they are

For me personally it's like a rollercoaster.

Prophet was rather consistent, a lot of duplicates that I just gave away to my friends who weren't getting any drops.

Lyris started off badly for me, I think I got 1 drop over 2 days. Then I got an influx of drops, enough duplicates that I could trade for what I needed and what a friend needed. Between us we finished our sets on day 3.

I was super frustrated but I also did a LOT of writs 1st week so I had to remind myself of that fact.

As for those who are really struggling, I suggest that you keep at it. Whatever you are unable to get by this week's end hold onto hope that you can do writs 5th week and maybe you'll be able to finish your sets then. Any spares you have I suggest you trade them rather than sell them.

Pledge/Trial week I'm thinking will produce the most expensive pages. Poor Sai. If only his beard was a drop.

I would be very surprised if they haven't been nerfed. I know the Prophet pages were plentiful, but a happy medium would be nice. I get so damn tired of grinding these events for limited time things.

I seem to be getting them at the same rate as the prophet ones maybe you just aren't doing enough dailies

For those that have 15 characters, 105 crafting writs per day was possible. In 7 days that is 735 boxes possible. And that is 105 a day for like an hour and a half. You get 12 or so dailies this week per chracter without quest sharing. But those take you 1 to 2 hours to do so it is a significantly less amount of boxes during this week compared to last.

I don't think the droprate is nerfed, I just think people have been opening fewer coffers this week. Seven boxes per toon in quick succession would get you a lot of jester coffers in the first week. I guarantee you that it's selective memory that's forgetting all those coffers that gave nothing useful.

Meanwhile, this week it takes way more time to get the same number of coffers.

Just looked how all "companion" style pages look at PTS. Aside from weapons, body pieces look horrible low-res and unrefined.

Considering that I was opening 90 boxes per day in the previous week, I'm not sure. Now I got only a few of the pieces but that's because I'm limited to around 15-25 boxes per day. If I was opening 90 boxes per day, I think I would have tons of extras like the prophet one.

As other's have said, it's because it took only 1.5-2hrs to get 105 chances at the outfit pages, by doing crafting writs. I only manage to do around 20 WB quests (i.e. 20 chances) in the same amount of time (that's if I'm lucky and find a group doing them all).

I didn’t record the numbers, but my gut feeling is that this is about right. I also think that the usual crafting ingredient reward from Daily Crafting Writs masked what was actually in the gold boxes - by which I mean I don’t really think that the boxes contain less this week than they did last week.

Last week I could do 7 little golden boxes in about 3 mins or less, per character. To complete all 6 world boss dailies in Summerset can take well over an hour. I had plenty of times last week when a full round of crafting writs gave me no style pages - I just moved into another character or account. This week that feels far harder to take as the effort required is so (so, so, so) much more!

Fortunately I’m not addicted and could quit any time.......... honest.

The drops are so bad, I'm more excited in opening regular daily reward boxes than golden anniversary boxes. At least, the ones from Summerset will contain culanda laquer, the ones from murkmire hawkwing plumage, and I even got some nice motives from those.

The yellow boxes ? 10 alkahest and 5 mundane runes or such. Looting an average mob has better chance to yield intersting results.

Considering I was opening about 12 boxes per day last week, and about the same this week, considering that I was choke-full in Prophet's style pages after 3 days and am still missing some Lyris pages today, I'd say that per my own experiences the drops are extremely lacking.

Considering the average price of a Prophet style page was 200 gold by the end of the week and Lyris style pages are still in the tens of thousands, i'd say there is a much shorter supply.

But I had not considered that an apparently very high number of people would resort to farme every possible box on every possible character past week, so maybe it's indeed just a lower number of boxes being opened. Still, my own, non significant statistically, experience, tells me the drops are sh*t.

302 boxes, 0 style pages. I had to purchase 2 Cadwell pages and one prophet page but for Lyris I need to buy them all? I sure don't see a nerf.

I noticed no change in drop rate, just number completed by players.

You can do 7 crafting dailies in the time it takes to get 1 delve/WB quest done.

I was doing 195 crafting dailies a day between my characters

No way in hell I'm doing that many world boss/delves.

Also, remember, week 5 will give you a box for ALL daily quests, that can drop ANY of the style pages.

So I will be back doing 195 crafting dailies, getting boxes. I was able to complete about 10 full sets of the Prophet's style in week 1 alone... statistics would indicate that I should be able to get about 2 full sets for each of the 5 companions during week 5.

The price will come down that week, as it will be MUCH easier to get boxes.

The Pledge/Trial week 4 is the worst, as it's the most limited.

Well I only did 6 writs/day for that week and only got 3 Prophet pieces. For delves & WBs I was doing 18 a day and got the full outfit probably about twice. It's all down to the amount you do for boxes.

Of course fewer boxes were opened in Week 2, but the drop rate is still much lower. I rarely saw any yellow in the boxes I opened, unlike the prior week where I would see something yellow much more frequently.

I was hoping for a bit of a spike the last few days, which I saw in Week 1, but no dice there. I got 0 yellow recipes, even duplicates.

I got 5 total yellows all week. I don't believe I had any duplicates, but I am still 3 short that will probably always remain missing. The drop rate was definitely lower.

This week truly sucks. I hate PvP anyway and the only way to get them is suffer through lots of losing for the rare bonus drop? No thanks. I could handle if I got a reward for playing, and perhaps even learning how to play PvP better, but playing and only getting the bonus when winning, what a waste. I am not going to play just so someone else can get a bonus.

Hopefully Week 5 will make up, but I doubt it based on Week 2 results.
