Rebalance? I call BS

No one is this stupid. No one in the community can be this stupid. I have been playing thos game since launch whichbos long enough to see skills in ESO changed over soo many times whereas the same skills are evenutally reverted to the exact same state it was changed from.

Time and time again. There is some ridiculous reason for a change. Yet, none of the changes ever stick.
Why do the changes not stay?
Why every patch is there a change of focus. This means you didnt get it right the 1st time. It means you didnt get it right the 2nd time. It means you didnt get it right the 3rd time, so on, and so forth.

No. I dont believe any developer is that dumb. You speak of balance as if that is the true intent of the changes. If that werr indeed true, every class would perform within the same parameters.
All would have a spammable for dps. All would have a group heal for healing.
All would have a significan self heal for tanking. All would have and execute dps.

This does not happen.
What other conclusion can there be?
What other logic would follow.
What reason for such predictable changes and constsnt nerfd and then reverts after 3 or 4 iterations?

Imo, it seems like there is proverbial carrot with the hopes one day youre class will have an advantage over othes in pvp and pve. The class with the best buffs and skills that will over power youre foe while youre foe suffers from developer inflicted disadvantage from a nerf.

But wait, wait. A couple of months later, the tables turn. Now youre class is not as capable from a nerf and youre class now longer performs at optimal levels. You are crushed in pvp and/or pve.
Now you have to biy the dlc to get the nee clas or the new gear to help compensate for the nerf. Youre opponent now gets a buff and destroys you.

But, wait...Now the devs decide they want to nerf both classes and there is not adavantage. Wait,...noe the deves want to revert things back to the orignal form with some slight changes.

This is utterly ridiculous. Who the hell wants this much instability in a game?
Im not the least bit interested in such madness. Change this. Nerf that. Buff this. Re nerf that. Go to original. Nerf or negate. Buff it again.

BS. Do something constructive with the game. Work on things that are broken in the game like youre lag, or youre homes which need more interactive features, or youre disconnect rate or load screen glitches in Cyrodiil.

There are soooo many other things you can work on rather than pretending you chasing illusion balance carrot. We both know thats bs.

Remember that every single one of the millions of players in ESO have their own version of “balance”, @Lab3360.

What you may think is BS other players do not think is BS.

In other words, the world isn’t centered around you (or me for that matter).

How did you change class? Or you are meaning you just swapped to a different toon, different class?

Ah, okay. Yeah. I have two accounts, thinking about a third. But that would only be for playing 15 toons as hybrids I think. I am SO not messing with necromancer.... so don't need it for that.

I have never played a necromancer in any game since 1985. Not starting now.

Are nerfs basically the only thing zos does these days? Apart from selling gamble boxes, of course. They should branch out and find new hobbies.

It really is bro. You are probably one of the only people I have met that have acknowledged this. They spend most of there time nerfing and changing skills around vs improving day 1 problems, and adding new ground breaking classes and skills and real more regular content to create the illusion they are busy improving the game to the community.

Speaking from experience here. This game does suffer from serious imbalances in classes but that mainly derives from them nerfing some classes so much while buffing others so much which caused this imbalance.

Saying that though, I do agree that they nerf/buff classes way too much and should be putting most of their efforts on other things.

Of course it is going to be a never ending issue.

The companies goal is for All the classes to be competitive against each other. They do Not want any dominant class. They do Not want Cyradil full of Only stamDKs. Or magNBs. Or fill-in-the-class-here.

Which means when someone figures out some combination that does dominate, there is going to be some adjustment.

Usually, the people who are upset with the nerfs/adjustments are those who changed their characters to take advantage of the previous changes. They always have to have the BIS character. And once you have BIS, it is irritating to have the company come by and say " we need to balance this so other classes have a chance against it", so to speak.

The balance updates feel like nerf roulette, always wondering who or what will get nerfed next. OP has a point, instead of doing things for "balance" why not just focus first on improving things like server performance? Most MMOs will never have perfect balance because classes need an "identity", but ESO's constant changes seem absolutely and completely random compared to other MMOs. It also feels like ESO is the only one with the most ridiculous PvP consequences because of the constant reverting and nerfing of abilities and proc sets where your gear will do damage or healing for you instead of your abilities. Some of the changes like losing minor berserk to magnb bow proc is really weird. Some of it like magplar shards buff makes me think "Wow, I'm really glad magplar dps got buffed again." At the same time, we are also getting a brand new class which feels overpowered on the PTS. The only way to keep up is to have alts of each class, really. I have them, so I just log on to whatever's the flavor of the month and keep up, but honestly is ZOS really going anywhere with the constant nerfs? Is it like the racial changes where the optimal races just got shuffled around for no reason?

Good luck being happy. The joy isn't in being given everything you want. You find joy in what you are given.

Eso is still a great game. Period.

Devs arent really doing anything. Just moving things around to make it appear as if they are soooooo hard at work on improving ththe game.

    *facepalm*

This is why you need to play every class, folks. MMORPGs are in constant flux. If everything stayed the same all the time, you’d get bored and stop playing. I can’t think of ANY single player games that I’ve played for multiple years on an almost daily basis — and that’s because most single player games offer very little in the way of replayability. MMOs are different. Bored? Roll a new character. Nerfed one patch? Play one of the classes that got buffed. Easy...

Hmm. Well, some of us (maybe even a preponderance of those of us who play this game) do NOT care what happens with pvp and cyrodiil. I certainly hope that all the "balancing" isn't happening to keep the very small percentage of pvp only players happy, as opposed to the "majority" - that is, you know, the rest of us: some of us pvp a little bit for some stuff, many more of us never set foot in pvp, and a smaller percentage of us would rather die than pvp.

Unfortunately.... I actually feel that the majority of "balancing" happens to keep the pvp folks happy. And that doesn't make ME happy at all.
