Dear ZoS,

Please stop nerfing the game for PvErs just because the PvPrs are [snip] over monster sets and class effects. Why not just apply a debuff for PvPland or reduce the monster set effects or whatever necessary?...so their [snip] stops ruining sets for trial and vet PvE runs.

Thank you.

[Edit for bait.]

Not quite. PvE and PvP are two completely different beasts. If something is overpowering on PvP it does not necessarily mean it's overpowering on PvE, somethings work just fine the way they are.

But thanks for the mature response.

You act like you're playing a different game, also you don't speak for everyone.

    Dear ZOS Devs,

Earthgore is an overpowered proc set that's preventing us from getting our hard-earned kills.

    Sincerely,
Molag Kena, Nerien'eth, and all the other Bosses

P.S. nerf Relequen and Olorime next!

Generally speaking, when things overperform in PVE its to the benefit of the players, and the only people who see the downsides are the Devs. Thus, PVE nerfs tend to take PVEers by surprise - like the shield and dodge nerfs in Murkmire. PVE players didn't see their survivability as a problem, but the devs did. A General rule of thumb I use when looking at PVE is "Is it overused? Is it too good? Has it been the meta for a while? Expect it to be nerfed in order to shake things up."

When things overperform in PVP, other players directly see that impact. Unlike dungeon/trial bosses, players have forum accounts to complain about those things. Sure, a fair amount of complaints are L2Play issues, and if you pay attention on those PVP complaint threads, you'll often see PVPers saying "L2Play" or better yet, explaining how they deal with it. So PVPers are rarely caught by surprise by nerfs, because it was usually causing someone a problem.

And then on top of all that, you have to consider that the Devs make changes to create horizontal progression. Its change for the sake of change, a cheap way to make the game feel fresh, and keep people grinding away. That's true even if you completely separated PVE and PVP.
