A plea to update the Cyrodiil load screen image

Hundreds of us stare at this screen dozens of times per night. Sometimes for many minutes. And now that there’s a random load screen every time a keep anywhere on the map gets upgraded, or when a wall anywhere in Tamriel gets repaired, or any time an elf sneezes, we live in constant anxiety, waiting for the next load screen ambush.

Will you be in combat when it happens?
Will you be dead when the load screen ends?
Will your game crash and have to log back in after several rounds of “ no connection”errors?
Will you inexplicably be transported back to your alliance base?

I don’t know the answers to these questions from minute to minute. But I do know what it will look like.



And I’m tired of it. I don’t expect you (zeni) to make the load screens shorter, less frequent, or even less random. I understand that such things are beyond your programmatic abilities. All I ask is for better scenery. It’s time to update the cyrodiil load screen image. We’ve all spent too many hours staring at this one.

I dont mind the screen shot, but I do hate dieing every time the keep flips because of the damn load screen. Be nice to put a cooldown on the upgrade after the flip.

I’m all for changing it... after every single other problem is fixed.

They should display the kindle app instead of the load screen. I could be done with game of thrones by now.

I think they should add hidden pictures. It would give us something to do while we stare at it over and over and over. How many hidden pictures can you find? That sort of thing.

Really? Your stance is that every bug in the game must be fixed before they can change a static line of code? To replace a single, static image with the existing code for a different single image? Global issue resolution is a prerequisite for that in your mind?

I’m sure on some level you realize that’s not even a little bit rational.
