The Real Value of CP = CUSTOMIZATION (don't lose it)

Please don't lose any more customization. It's not about being "overpowered" as the most common whines go, it is about being able to try new and different things and play a toon different than the guy standing next to me even if he is wearing identical sets with all the same skills.

Re-Calibrate it. Tone it down. There should be some advantage/reward for time spent and loyalty.. and it doesn't have to be huge, but lets keep it going...

For PvPers it adds such an interesting option and the way it is set up now is amazing. It is literally one of my favorite things to tinker with.

I dont think they will simply remove it. They will come up with something similiar, so we will have all of our custumization we have now but just different. All the cps we worked years for wont just get deleted without ZOS HQ blowing Up.

I would like to see certain CP stars merged. for instance, the seperate stars for magic damage and physical/poison/disease means you have limited choice of enchantments. I want to use a fire enchant on a stam weapon or something ffs. please either kill enchant CP scaling or merge those stars.
Playing your character the way your character should play is all that matters. Play as well as you can but never betray the character. Doing so would make playing an mmoRPG pointless.

This is, fundamentally untrue. Sets have a far greater effect on your build than your CP, and your CP will not grant you new ways to play a character, they will only augment the effectiveness of your build.

The issue with CP isn't about it being, "overpowered," so much as it contributing to power creep. When you consider that my characters do, on average 30%-40% more damage than a 160 character, and take, on average, 30%-40% less damage, that's not trivial. Overall player skill and knowledge is more important than those buffs, but they are still incredibly potent.

This has resulted in a shift in newer content that does, effectively, shut newer players out.

Now, if you want to argue that there should be customization within the CP system, I agree. But, right now, it's flat advancement.
